I’ve mentioned this in another of these videos, but in season 2, as Rayla watches over Callum, at first she’s angry, and her ear tips are at a sharp angle. But when Callum cries out for help, her face softens and her ears wilt. Just so much detail!
we need more ear movements! we havent seen any since s3!

This is one of the best ships on Netflix. Bet none of y’all can change my mind.
It is quite good but it made two very unhealthy turns in between S3 and 4 and in between S4 and 5. As of now this relationship becomes more and more unequal and somewhat toxic, with Callum being lied to, having his trust betrayed multiple times and treated paternalistically, with Rayla doing just whatever she wants with no remorse, either heartbreaking him or robbing him and breaking into his chamber and stealing for no apparent reason and getting away with it.

Rayllum were even a better couple than Katara and Aang from Atla.

@@jak00bspyr72 I hope that in seasons 6, 7 and 8 they use their relationship currently as an example of a toxic one and have the two of them come to realize that. Then Callum and Rayla can rebuild a healthly relationship once they talk about their situation, instead of just ignoring what happened. They both have some things to unpack about that two year period, yeah, Rayla is in the wrong, but i feel her behavior might be due to her culture and upbringing of showing love through sacrifice.
Callum and Rayla are maturing in their relationship because they're aware the things changed but their connection is still alive. They needing to work who they are now and understanding the other's perspective, besides give time to feel ing everything they need it. It's how work a health relationship and they're in the right paw.

I enjoy how Rayla is like the big sister to Ezran, and to Ezran he's the little brother she never had, but with Soren they've definitely grown into a sibling relationship. It's better that Claudia and Soren, Rayla makes a better sister than Claudia. He's the big brother of the group and he's definitely gotten closer to Callum and Rayla. I guess as the oldest two that have grown up with really good combat and swordsmanship background they gotta protect the group and having to communicate with each other about certain things. Same goes for Callum, it's cute

What is this show ? (i mean more than : "it's The Dragon Prince", give me details of what's going on) Who are they ? Is it good ?
probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. strong ATLA vibe (and made by some of the same people). the show is gonna be seven seasons long, split up into two arcs: s1 to 3 are The Dragon Prince, s4 - 7 are The Mystery of Aaravos. I would absolutely recommend it. the second arc is a lot darker than the first if you're worried about it being childish haha
Tell me something would I able to essentially watch an abridged version of the actual show if I just watch this ship

I've waited a bit to say this, and I'm a huge Rayllum shipper, but I cannot hide my disappointment in the way the ship is going and was carried out in Season 4 and 5. I will even dare to say that this ship in between S4 and S5 became somewhat toxic.
I've already stated under one of your videos how much I dislike what Rayla did to Callum in between S3 and S4. She acted extremely egoistically by leaving him heartbroken. Yes, egoistically, despite her justification that she only did that to "protect him". In reality, it was because she herself couldn't bare putting him at risk, it was always about her mental comfort to have him somewhere safe no matter what he felt. She tells him sweet little lies, like the ones before she left him in the book covering what happened in between seasons 3 and 4, and denies him his own right to be by his side and risk his own life. It's called paternalism and I hate it. It means Rayla doesn't treat Callum as an equal. She treats him more like a child or a pet that is supposed to be kept safe at home while the grown-ups are doing the dirty work.
Does she feel any remorse? Did she acknowledge her fault and apologise? Nope, even in S5 she still thinks she did the right thing. Morover, the authors make it look like Callum was in the wrong by distancing himself from Rayla, and like he was supposed to change his behavior. And he does, even though he was the one treated unjustly he completely accepts it and in the end of S4 he lets Rayla go yet again like it was nothing. And in Season 5, do we see wether what happened in S4 left some kind of mark on him? Nope, he seems totally healed, like letting Rayla go was the only thing he needed, and now he trusts her completely and unconditionally.
Don't get me wrong, trust is crucial in a relationship. But it needs to be on both sides. And what does Rayla do, after Callum finally trusts her again? She ROBS HIM, BREAKS IN to his chamber and STEALS what's inside. The outmost example of complete lack of respect and trust to the person she loves. I honestly hoped that this situation would be a wake-up call for Callum, that he would finally stand up for himself. And what does he do? He again trusts her completely even though Rayla betrayed his trust and did nothing to earn it. He fanatically believes that if she did that then she must have had a reason. That's unhealthy, to say the least. She could spit into his face and he would say it's raining. And did she have a reasonable cause, really? Of course not, she didn't even apologise, she simply said that "she could explain". Like if there was a justification for this.
And I mean yeah, there were many good Rayllum scenes in S4 and S5, but it still leaves a bit of distaste on how the creators are developing this relation. We need to keep in mind, that this show is also made for younger audiences. What is this show teaching them? What behaviors does in normalise? This show really needs to change something in the future in my opinion.

Idk to me their relationship got healthier? Obviously at the beginning they were young kids in love, who had yet to face their distinct differences that may cause rifts in the relationship. Then Rayla leaves, determined to insure that Viren is gone gone, but also understands that she is risking her life daily by pursuing this adventure. Worse, she knows that at any given time, Callum with sacrifice his own life (circa jump off a mountain to save my gf) if it means saving Rayla. Obviously this fear would in many ways hold Rayla back from completing her mission. During season 4, Callum makes it clear that he’s not ready to talk about how her leaving made him feel. He consistently thwarts her attempts to talk about what happened/ apologies for leaving (which is totally justified cause he had lots on his plate and wasn’t ready to dive into how he felt about her returning out of nowhere). Slowly, they begin to rebuild their trust in each other, even in that scene where Rayla sees Viren and tells Callum she has to go after him. They both became more conscious of the other’s emotions, with Rayla expressing her need to follow Viren to Callum, rather than just running off. And Callum, expressing understanding of why she needs to follow Viren, while also not putting himself in danger because he trusts Rayla will be careful and hold her own. That scene showed how they grew for their youthful impulsiveness. That’s why their relationship continues to improve from that point on. Because without a direct conversation, they both understand that they’ve learned from their mistakes. Obviously a apology would still be nice and I’m really rooting for one come Season 6, but I think theyve proven that they have matured together. In my opinion, that’s the definition of a healthy relationship, one that pushes both parties to be better people for each other! But that’s just how I perceived it ((:
