      Thank you Todd! They’ve just got such a wide array of cordless tools and it’s cool when one of those odd ones comes in handy. Like that right angle drill… I don’t use it often but when you get that smaller space where nothing else fits it sure is nice to have it in the toolbox!😅

    Great idea (except for those of us with negative overnight temperatures). Version 2 has a copper pipe wrapped round the radiator hose to act as a heat exchanger and provide hot water.

      Covid is just the distraction, while we struggle with masks or not, vaxx or not, employment or not our elected officials and bureaucrats behind the curtain are quietly removing our private property rights, our right to travel, our right to assemble, banning protest, our ability to use cash money and bringing in digital id and digital currency and now seizing peoples bank accounts. TOTAL ENSLAVEMENT ! Until the people wake up and you impact the World Economic Forum affiliated politicians and big businesses that run government and are supporting and driving the lock downs, nothing is going to change. The World Economic Forum, the United Nations UN Agenda 2030 and government controlled media are our biggest threats. Covid is the mechanism by which they are destroying the middle class and private/mom and pop businesses. Many of our government officials including Federal MP Chrystia Freeland, Conseritive Michelle 'Pronouns' Rempel, Federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and BC Premier John Horgan (and i am sure there are many more) are affiliated with the World Economic Forum (you will own nothing and be happy). What little democracy we have left is in the process of being subverted. Our elections are supposed to "feel" organic and grassroots but these people are groomed and then presented for us to "elect" and then they magically do the opposite of what we want them to do.
      All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.“ Edmund Burke

    Great project. I was thinking it was to wash hands after playing with neighbor’s goats. How hard is it to refill the reservoir? I guess you can place a bucket under the nozzle and see ~ how much water you use to wash your hands and then know how many times you can use it before you need to fill it up. As a proof of concept I think you hit it out of the park. Thanks for sharing!

      Thank you! As for the shop, I like it… cozy, no wasted space….BUT if I did it over again I’d do two containers parallel with a space between and put a roof over it so you’d have a nice large open air covered work area between. Then have the tools staged inside the containers for security after hours. And then you could even close up one or both sides with garage doors and regulate temp and wind as needed. Hmmm now I’m thinking too much😂

    Talking about using 15% of the human brain 🧠 which is 50% more that the average yahoo, you never cease to amaze me with your ability to be creative and practical. You set a example for us wannabes, and you are an American Patriot to boot ‼️‼️ Meanwhile I’ll go back to looking for stuff in my mess.🇺🇸🇺🇸😝😆😝😆😝😆😝😆😝😆😝😆

      Thanks Jim! 🇺🇸 yeah I can’t remember specially what the estimate is for brain use is on average, but I’m pretty sure there’s a large percentage of people that lost half of that amount over the last couple years😂. I’m praying they get some of it back soon with this crazy world 🙏🤪

    I have young kids and something like that would come in handy because you know they don't always wash their hands after playing in the park or going through the store or the bathroom

    My 4 year old marveled at your project this morning, but she asked where does your soap go? I was wondering where your hand towel/paper towel hold was installed. Could you turn your overhead "oh $h*t" bar into one?

    • @homesteadonomics
      @homesteadonomics  2 роки тому

      She’s smart! And the overhead bar would be a work for sure!

    Do you have any plans to deal with pressurization in the Arizona heat? Here in Florida I've had all kinds of things pop in sealed containers, not even inside a vehicle.

    I got an idea. You can modify the whole seat back into a giant bladder. I bet it could hold 5 gallons

    • @homesteadonomics
      @homesteadonomics  2 роки тому

      I’m actually looking for a container that would fit a little better in that back underseat area that would hold a bit more water than the camelback bladder. But it’ll have to have just the right profile… so it’ll likely be the current one for a while.

    Here's a top tip for everyone - spray bottle, 1 part regular hand soap : 5 part water, old t-shirts as rags.
    You're welcome.

      Nahhhh. This project utilizes unclaimed space and materials while allowing one to problem solve and hone skills. This type of project is beyond a spray bottle and more about letting creativity flow.

    • @homesteadonomics
      @homesteadonomics  2 роки тому

      Sounds like a good option… thanks! I think that’ll pair nicely since I didn’t include the little soap holder. Maybe in one of those really tiny travel spray bottles just stored in thr tray

    How did you mount the water bag. My seat bag doesn't release.

    • @homesteadonomics
      @homesteadonomics  2 роки тому +1

      The back of my seat doesn’t either. I had to fish a little paracord loop behind the seat to hold it. Not the most convenient but works decently well

    Cool idea. It will only work if you have weather above 32F year round. Knowing most people, they would forget it and it will freeze. For the land of ice and snow, the north.... This will never work.

      Yep, it would need to be drained in winter for sure. Here it’s okay unless we get into the low 20’s or teens.

    Concrete dust on my hands drives me _so_ crazy that I actually started bringing gloves with me to the big box store and putting them on any time I touch the bags. I thought I had some random OCD about it and it didn't bother other people

    When are you going to retire from your full time Joe .. so you can fulfill your true calling as a builder, tinkerer, cactus candy maker? It's always a pleasure to watch your builds and projects.

    • @homesteadonomics
      @homesteadonomics  2 роки тому

      Oh man….that won’t happen for at least another 5 years. I’ve got 15 in the system and 20 is the earliest. But depending on what our ‘wise and prudent’ leaders do, perhaps the retirement system may not even exist by then😭😂. All we can do is just play it one day as a time and pray for the best…haha
      But I would like to tinker and do projects like this full time for sure! But.I gotta make sure all the debts are paid and the income stream away from the fire service is secure enough. But with that said, I have been contemplating setting up a little mobile handyman/custom projects business on the side in preparation from the end of the fire service career🤔.
