What I LOVE about your channel is that you are one of the few, or maybe the only, flight reviewer who travels most of the time in economy. It really irritates me how many reviewers rarely, if ever, travel in anything but business class or the equivalent. It seems like they just fly around the world in luxury paid for by their YT profits and make videos which are pretty irrelevant to over 90% of travellers. So well done to you.
Only applicable to the United States where you have the B777-323ERand B777-322/ER in operation. For 200lr fans in the United States if you want one you might as well cross the northern border into Canada where it's still used.
Whenever Australia decides to open up to the world again, it's going to be a Delta A350 or a Qantas 787 for me (or maybe Hawaiian when they get their Dreamliners!). I never got to fly the Delta 777, looks like I missed a great experience!
Love your reviews , best by far of any av channel. No tacky music, or me me me selfies and commentary. Just an excellent review of what any of us would experience. Appreciated.
Amazing again! I have a question concerning turbulence: you guys fly so much that I'm sure you've experienced turbulence multiple times. I'm terrified of it, to a point where I get anxious weeks before my flight. I was wondering how you felt about turbulence, how you cope with it, what your habits are during turbulence?
It scares me a bit as well, but on my last flights I just looked outside the window, the view above the clouds can be beautiful and is a great distraction to me :) by the way, if you have the chance to choose your own seat, go for one around the wings. And last but not least, try to keep in mind that turbulence is not dangerous.
Welcome on board, so here you have something to eat with quatripple cheese. Ah halfway there, take this here with cheese. We're almost descending take this something here with cheese! xD Great report as always, thank you!
My knees buckled when I saw your description of 15 hours in Economy. And then I realized I did the same thing but even longer on a QANTAS A380 from SYD to DFW back in 2016. 🤣🤣 - Red
I haven’t got a chance to fly on the 777-200LR yet. DL’s 777-200LR still looks quite good, too bad that they decided to retire them all. The service on DL’s very long flights seems to be a bit better than their long flights
Beautiful trip report Simply Aviation! Love the food, and the views are just splendid! Just the right UA-cam channel to tune into if you want to travel around the world while staying at home :D
After so so many years with LAX terminals feeling like big bland nursing homes the remodels really are making a difference. Returning from overseas to LAX up until the last decade I was truly embarrassed at what kind of welcome this airport had for foreign visitors. Thankfully that has changed with further improvements afoot.
Thx for the report. Also would be nice to mention how tall you are when you are checking the leg room. If you are 1,55m then of course every seat as a business pitch. If you are 1,95m and up this will show a different reality.
I'm not scared of flying but I'm scared of wind shear because if a plane goes in to the wind shear the plane goes down it feels like the plane is stalling and you can feel a bit of gravity
Loses out to its European and Asian Skyteam Partners B777-328/ER🇫🇷 B777-306/ER🇳🇱 B777-3B5/ER🇰🇷 and B777-309/ER🇹🇼. Before the invasion of Ukraine (special military operation), an Aeroflot B777-3M0. Excellent video overall
I took this same flight on the exact aircraft 18 months prior. My flight attendant was the rudest and least attentive I have ever come across and it really did leave a bad impression. I will miss 3-3-3 economy in the 777 though.
I think delta did a big mistake retiring the 777-200LR as they are capable of flying ultra long haul flights and can get from go from new york to Sydney none stop, just as an example. They where very capable aircraft. If an airline has or had the 777-200LR, they should have kept them to fly long haul flights. But reality usually has other ideas..
DL's product on longer domestic flights, such as those to/from Hawaii, are actually quite good. You get the same amenity kit as on this flight and similar main meal service minus the ice cream, and as many snacks and beverages you want in the rear galley. I did ATL-HNL recently on the A350, and was very impressed. Best service to/from the islands, hands down.

So right!
So correct. People always fly in Luxury but he always flies in economy and rarely in business sclass
I miss the 777LR, I only got to fly it once in their Delta One class. It was great.
You mean the First class?
@@Andrew182 Yep, Delta refers to it as Delta One
@@Andrew182 little correction it's business class not first
Good point and they should have gotten rid of their B777-232ers and kept the 777-232lr fleets which are newer than their B777-232er by 10 years
Now they operate their LAX-SYD route with an Airbus A350-941
Pre-Corona… Good old days… I hope they‘re coming back soon…
So do I. We all are tired of it.
@King Louis the trillionaire how do you know.
Ok
I’m from Sydney Australia, I really miss the 777s coming here but the A350s are just as great! How long were you in Sydney for? Awesome video BTW
I prefer american 787
Nooo A340 are cooler 😁
@@roddevereaux1830 787 much better
Yo neymar sunny innit
love flying A340 Also
R.I.P to the 777-200ER and 777-200LR
Luckily the 777-300ER is still around
The 777-200LR is actually still flying, Air India, Emirates, Ethiopian, are a few examples

The 777-200LR is quite a rare plane to be honest. But its long range is impeccable. Too bad Delta got rid of them. ☹️
That’s a long flight, the service looked great! Nice video 😄✈️
Great video. I’ve always wanted to see Australia. That’s on my bucket list. It’ll probably never happen but you never know. :(

Planes can withstand so much turbulence that you have no reason to be afraid lol
I always imagine it like going over a bumpy road…nothing to worry about…
I literally flew over the Bermuda Triangle on a flight from New York to Orlando so turbulence is under me
@@simply_aviation So you're super chill during turbulence then? :o I sometimes see people laughing like it's nothing that's so crazy to me :'(

When I read the title, I was like, “COVID I hate you! You caused Delta to retire their 777-200s!!!”
Don’t blame the pandemic 😷. Not only Delta suffered but almost all airlines also
@@ikram5731 I know...it’s just so upsetting that almost every single cool old plane got retired by almost every single airline

1:47 so THAT’S why Delta made me look at a camera while boarding my flight to Punta Cana a couple months ago…makes a lot of sense now.
That looked like a pretty good flight for Economy. Nothing remarkably wonderful, but also nothing really important to complain about.

I'm so happy that Delta go to an all airbus fleet
And abandoned the McDonnell-Douglas designed 757s, the last vestiges of the legendary DC8 Super Sixties?!? A crying shame. Pooh on Delta.
For Delta especially with their penchant for running planes a very long time retiring a 2008 model highlights the hit of the pandemic.
great work !!! keep going friends !

Awesome video ❤️❤️❤️... Loving all your videos
Hi great video! How is Australia? Never new one of my favourite flight reviewers arrived in my country
I flew Delta’s 777’s to and from Paris business it was fabulous flight.
I think he spends more time on a plane then in his own car, actually, his own HOUSE!!!
unless boeing offers an ultra-long haul 777-8, these are likely to be replaced with a350-900ULRs
Isn't this the same trip as the one Brutally Honest trip with Delta to Australia. Btw great video
Yup it is
Thanks for the g8 vid Guys
i had an uncle who lived in the land down under and i have a few online friends there too
Oooo, an Aussie Flight, cool! :D
As usual good one👍👌
Nice one guys. Cool to see another Aussie review 🦘
Nice flight report.
Thought they were retired?
pre-corona was the best time...
did u guys see the ikea on approach?
Besides the different equipment, what does this flight look like during these Covid jazz times?
ADDED TO LIKED AND I WAS JUST WATCHING YOUR ROYAL JORDANIAN VIDEO
That was all the food served?? More like snacks!!
Lovely coverage 👍

Nine across instead of ten makes a huge difference. KLM, Delta's partner has 10 on its triples, and it is very uncomfortable.
What is the purpose of taking this flight and going to Sydney?
Shame Delta had to retire these gems so early into their lives...Luckily we still have the 757's and 767's
14 hrs in a economy will be too much for me.
Great trip-report. I can't remember but what makes a flight a red-eye flight?
Red eye flights depart early in the morning such as 3 AM for example.
David you saw turkish airlines how they still serve food on long haul Flights and Short haul Flights
But no alcohol on Turkish Airlines any more.
Thanks for doing economy reviews!
Was the prerecorded?
Yes
why were there japanese subtitles on the inflight safety video (4:40)
one month before disaster struck :(
it feels crazy doesnt it?
Like in 3 weeks our lives changed
When this video taken?
Even though VS is a part of Delta Group, why VS didn't join Skyteam?
