That was packaged well ..better than a lot of companies that need to learn how to ship products...2 times I have had my old shop building cleaned out and had to stop the junk guy from throwing away my old piece of copper flashing about 4 ft. long and a foot and a 1/2 wide folded into a gutter shape
Good for you George, never know what we will get with online ordering. I am so drawn to copper and have made some bracelets with old tubing. I need to try the sheet of it one day. You look great, btw! Keep em coming. Cathy aka
thanks for the video i hope ypu keep making them, these videos take me back to when ypu were still teaching me how to gas weld. you are the bob ross of metal working
I have never seen a rolled sheet packed so well! I had given up because if the ends aren’t bent, they are usually rolled too tight. I drive 45 minutes to Birmingham to get mine. Today I bought six 3x10’ sheets. I carry a cardboard tube from a metal roofing supplier and put them inside one at a time. They are about 42” long and 18” in diameter and it protects copper well it in the truck and they roll out flat on the table from not being rolled too tight. I do need 8’ sheets at times and my supplier doesn’t carry those. I enjoy your videos very much!
Hello George, I want to make a copper mudguard sorry fender, for my motorcycle. I’ve some 1.2 mm sheet copper 188g . Just wondered if I can use an English wheel to help with this? Also would heating the copper make it easier with forming the shape I need. Thank you for these great videos 👍🏼
Annealing (heating) the copper makes it more pliable. Easier to form into the shape that you want. For most of my work I hand form with wooden mallets. I've never used an English Wheel, but from what I have seen they are indispensable to those that know how to use them. Look forward to seeing your finished fender. Please email me a photo.
Im fortunate to have a local roofing company that sells 3X10 sheets that I can pick up. Keep those videos coming...I learn so much from you!!!
You are indeed fortunate to have such as ready supply near at hand. I'm envious.

You're pretty inventive - what are you going to make out of that copper? Think of you every time I run across my old Craftsman drill.

Sounds like you've got transporting sheet copper down to a science. That's impressive! "Necessity is the mother of invention".
Thanks for the info, George!
Thanks Charles. I think you have viewed every video I put up on UA-cam.

I was thinking of making a punch and die and make custom pc heatsinks from it 😆🔫
Not sure what that would look like. Send a photo when finished.
