I always thought Joey's style sounded too 80s and dated even his look is so 80s with his mullet and fanny pack/ tight Jean thing and the bush Era sounded more professional with less comedic lyrics
They are both different and great it's hard to choose, With Bush they have a deeper and almost sadder feel, With Belladonna they have a more upbeat and energetic feel.
this was john's last show with them. he already left in 2005 when they did the reunion w/ joey but then after that they got Dan Nelson and that didn't work out so they had asked john to sing for the few shows they already had booked. so these lucky people got john for the last time.
My wife and I had the acoustic version of "Safe Home" played in our wedding ceremony by two of my groomsmen...How awesome is that...Anthrax was played at my wedding!! This was a great version...such a great song. Been a fan for over 17 years...this is the best they've ever sounded! Bring Back Bush!

I'm proud to say i sat in my wheelchair and sang my heart out to this and many others that day. And i took my hat off and got a sunburned scalp too, but it was worth it so much. And Anthrax are playing Sonishpere again this year and i have my ticket already. I hope so much John is back to blow us away again.

Agree that it's one of the most commercial tunes with John Bush, still good though IMO. Check out 'Inside out' (my fave thrax song) 'Born again idiot' or '1000 points of hate' for some metal.
John Bush with little time to prepare as tight as ever.... Seen them 4 times with Belladonna and 4 with Bush.. last time was @ Rock City Nottingham... Its like JB never left , Scott , Charlie, Rob and Frank seemed to have rye smiles on stage @ Sonisphere and rightly so... Anthrax still one of the best live bands around and as a Metal fan for 20 years I have always said this.. There is something special about Anthrax's live gigs so I hope they sort the album out and release tour dates soon
John Bush is one of the best rock frontmen OF ALL TIME. The maturity, power, and manliness that he brings to Anthrax gives them the voice they need. Without John, Anthrax are like a chicken with their head cut off. Stomp 442 is probably the single most underrated heavy rock album OF ALL TIME. White Noise and WCFYA are two of the most dynamic post-thrash albums ever. The Bush b-sides Bordello Of Blood, Grunt & Click, and Poison My Eyes put anyone's a-side to shame. They better be paying him well.
(Still is, for the record. Armored Saint’s _Punching the Sky_ from a few years back and this year’s self-titled Category 7 album both KICK. ASS. A lot of that is down to J-Bush.)
Proud/happy to claim, the final show of this amazing lineup was my home town Perth, Western Australia. Ending with an awesome cover of new noise. Joey rules, but they seem so much more natural with Bush

i like john & joey both are awesome. i kinda like seeing them live w/ bush better. the only thing i hate is now that joey is back they hardly ever play any bush era material. all those awesome songs are going to waste...inside out, fueled, pottersfield, so on. i love both of them for real. however, i fucking hate neil turbin. i own 100+ anthrax cds, albums, singles, imports, bootlegs, promos, so on but i do not own fistful of metal for that simple fact, neil turbin sucks ass

It cusks that John got sick so they couldn't attend Sonisphere in Hultsfred, Sweden. I was there with some friends mostly to see Mastodon and Metallica, but of course we had looked forward to seeing most of the other bands aswell. All the bands were awesome except for Dead By April, typical that they had to add a typical emo band to the list, but all in all it was an amazing tour. The last time I had so much fun was at Unholy alliance tour in Denmark like 6-7 years ago.
