+anne Sh I was thinking this too! My younger brother is only a year younger than me, so we were always asked who's smarter, stronger, etc. I'm smarter, and he's every other positive attribute you can think of. If we were twins, I'd be the evil one. *mwa ha ha* :)

I think the (non-sexual) fantasy most people have about twins is that if they had a twin, they'd finally have someone in life who understands everything about them, is always on their side, and is the perfect, constant companion so they'll never be lonely. I think some people enter marriage with this same fantasy: find someone just like you, and live happily ever after.
Unfortunately, it rarely works that way. They don't think about what hell it can be to have everything you dislike about yourself reflected in front of you 24/7. You explained that very well! But you two seem to get along, so that's good! People are always going to be fascinated by twins, but I'm sorry you get asked the same annoying questions over and over!

What if your parents mixed you up once when you were babies and never realized it and never sorted it out and really the original sammy has been called niki most his life and niki has been called sammy. Like before you knew who was who. Could that happen? I had a family friend who had twins and when they were babies, she painted one toenail blue on one of them so that she couldn't mix them up.

I've got friends who are identical twins (but imo, they're easy to tell apart because one is taller and broader than the other, but I guess they get mixed up) and they said the best benefit is getting repaid a debt for the other twin. They live apart now, so no one really confuses them anymore.

You should do a video where your mom talks about all the questions and stupid things people said and asked her while she was pregnant, or while you were little. My favorite is "are they identical?" Yes my BOY/GIRL twins are identical hah.

I'm an identical twin and I agreed with all of the answers you gave. I get asked these questions by people who have known me for years, it's very awkward... My twin LOVES cheese with passion whilst I on the other hand hate it. I don't really mind when people get us mixed up, I just say I'm not Rio(my twin). It's worst with our teachers.

Another thing that shits me about being a twin is when complete strangers give you that weird look right before they ask "Are you two twins?"
Questions my twin sister and I get: If you're twins, why don't you look alike? (We're fraternal; I look like our mother and she looks like our father.) If you're older, why is she taller? (I am six minutes older, but she's about four inches taller than me.) Then they like to ask us individually what our birthday is to see if we're lying. Also the guidance counselor at school likes to call us in at the same time because, and I quote, "I've never had twins before, I want to compare you guys."

Me and my twin sister are fraternal and we don't even look that similar yet some people still get us mixed up, i think recently because i got just about the same hair cut as her. Like the other day my dad called me my sisters name and i got so offended. But literally all of these are so true.
