Owner's Spotlight: Shunsuke's R34 GT-R

- As the prices of the BNR34 GT-R continue to rise at ridiculous rates - thanks in part to the 25 year rule in the United States allowing the cars to be legal in the country - more and more owners are not only barely driving their GT-Rs, but leaving them as stock as possible in hopes to take advantage of their increasing value.
So when I spotted Shunsuke’s R34 GT-R still heavily modified, I knew he would have a good story on why he seemingly doesn’t care that the prices are rising.
Thus this time on Tokyo Tuner, join us as we spend the day with Shunsuke, discovering why he decides to drive and evolve his GT-R. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Very nice build! Couldnt believe it when he said he is only 29 years old. So he got this car at the age of 24, that is just amazing. In my opinion a GTR should not be kept stock and he did an awesome job on it so far.
6 years ago they were about 3x less! And no import costs for him!

This is my kind of driver.
The GTR is not a garage queen. The car is meant to be driven hard since it was build for the circuit racing when the R32 dominated the Austrailan Supercar championship before it got banned.
The Godzilla nickname isn't just for show.
I wonder what is his job to be able to afford a R34 at 24 years old. Damn. The R34 and R35 are my dream cars. And my dream garage is def have all the generations of Skylines from the KPGC10 to the 2020 R35 Nismo.
I can tell some mods he got are from the Nismo Omori factory catalog page. The front fenders and front bumper are the Nismo Z- tune variant which are the most sought after part. With addition of a custom off underskirt and canards.
600-700bhp is plenty for circuit racing. And impressive dream to think of travelling with his car around the world.
Hope to see his car if he comes to Singapore.
Interesting dash setup he has there with that iPad like display over the stock R34 gauge cluster.
No car build for performance have to be garage queen , garage queen is one of biggest things i hate in car sector .
@@argent81 well the R34 Z Tune owned by some filthly rich kept it in his garage and if you want to buy from him. Expect to pay close to a million for it.

Speaking for everyone in the states lol...but we still/know Japan has amazing cars!! Owning a 27 yr old car myself I've completely redone the car and changed the looks of it. It's gets just a much appreciation if not more than a lot of cars on the road still! Nice build 😊🤙🏽

I agree with what he said about using the car as it's intended to be used, which, is as a CAR! You don't know how many times I get sad seeing someone let it sit in some garage for years on end just cuz it's a collectors item.. This is how I am but as far as 3000GT's go, VR4 or not! (You guys should do a feature on one someday TokyoTuner! :P)

It’s typical to hear from folk in the west of how Japan is all about technology like they are robots out there. Japan is ahead of time in vision and mentally and the technology has been ahead of its time. The interior to this GTR is more advanced that most cars these days.

The love of driving a mechanical beast in the rain, is too much of an experience to ever deny oneself. Nothing more life affirming than getting an overly powered car up or down a wet greasy Japanese Touge section without having to call a friend to arrange a flat-top to meet you at corner number wherever.
