Big retailers are doing well in packaging Ramadan as if it is a product to buy just like Xmas Easter Valentine’s Day etc. I think it’s best to stay away from this and focus on the sunnah. What did our prophet (saw) his wives, his children, the sahaba (ra) do to mark Ramadan and the two Eids? Arent they the best of examples to follow today and tomorrow?

Jazakallah! The star lights are from target dollar spot I got them few years ago now and the white lanterns are from micheals and gold ones on fireplace are from Walmart. Anymore questions feel free to ask
U r decorating Home just like christian's decorate in Christmas, or other religions do on their dewali etc but we as Muslims actually don't need to decorate our homes with DIY regarding Ramadan , cleaning is good but decorating is completely useless,it's diverting our focus from the actual soul of Ramadan!

How is it decorating like christmas? When you decorate your home any other time is it not like Christians then? The mere focus is for children to get excited. Nothing wrong with decorating your home with Ramadan signs. It is not diverting the attention away in fact it is focusing on it. She didn’t decorate every single day lol this is probably in one day. Do you all not get it? With children, they get so excited to see something in the house. She just has to let them know these decorations aren’t part of the religion it is for celebrating and for fun.
