I think that's becoming a realization across many parts of the world. Cultures will always blend and people will migrate, but it's usually a natural process and it happens in a far more gradual way. Trying to codify this process into laws and sometimes by force makes the entire process artificial and the rate of change is always too fast for a particular society so you don't get assimilation, you don't get true multiculturalism, you get voluntary segregation and factions. It's even more racist when you think about it.

There were several reasons that people voted for Brexit. They were sick of foreign bodies decreeing our laws and rights. If things were truly as you have imagined, all these men would not be coming to our shores. They would remain home and probably it is more likely that we would be arriving on their shores. The problem i think is that people come across from Africa, where conditions are harsh, to Europe where they believe the streets are paved with gold. However, when they get here they realise that their lack of language, maths and business skills put them at the bottom of the pile when looking for work. This lack of skill can only be overcome by years of remedial education to help them to catch up with the indigenous population. Many are not prepared or capable of undertaking the long studies required, and so they end up remaining as unemployable and reliant on benefits, and of no appreciable utility to their new country.

Not one of these peasants who arrive here daily, is as advanced or as "cultured" as a born & bred British person. Yes, we have out rough edges, but we are pretty wholesome, industrious individuals, with basic ambitions, like get a decent job, build a decent life, find a good girl, have kids and provide for them, save a bit, then retire and enjoy a few years of relaxation. We don't ask for much!
The people that are arriving here have no such outlook - if they did, they would still be in their homeland, making it better to live in. (They may even be attempting to provide for their wives, children, family, their mothers/fathers....who knows?!)
Why do I assert that the illegals are not as advanced as "us"? Why would I say such a bigoted thing? I'll tell you why: they are not coming in through a legal route, are they? If they did, it would indicate to me they have something to offer - a skill or an ability. They would have a job to come to. And don't even try to tell me no such things exist!! I wasn't born yesterday! It's not. It's social conditioning. Humans are not born with intolerance or hate. Equally they are not born with an idea that they want to live amount their own. This is learned. This is learned from either parents or due to a poor education or because the papers convince people who their enemy is.

I’d like to point out that when I was a teenager back in the early 80’s, some films on the TV were French and I used to moan as I had to read subtitles. In my late twenties I found myself going to the cinema and really enjoying the foreign films and developed an appreciation of Iranian films in particular.
It was at that time a strict rule that French cinema had a certain limit on English language films showing, in order to protect their own culture and language. I’m not sure if this is still the case, but they certainly made an attempt to stem the tide.
There is nothing wrong with citizens of Great Britain calling for a halt in immigration and the government in my opinion should hold a referendum on this vital matter. Our wonderful country is on the verge of becoming a cesspit and a bankrupt one at that!
I’d also like to mention the fact that my ex wife who’s Chinese was out with a friend who is Japanese and she was bemoaning the sheer number of other oriental members of their gym club, saying that there weren’t enough white members. I recently came across a page posted on Telegram which states that in 2009, 122 MPs signed a declaration stating that there is no such thing as an indigenous population in Britain. That could be why the English, Scots, Welsh and Irish are being replaced and their protests ignored.

Having been to Portugal recently , there are influxes from many middle east and sub Saharan countries. Many are squatting in the 0000s of empty often derelict houses, abandoned by older people who have retired to wealthier areas. Currently the number of Portuguese adults between 20 and 40yrs age has declined by millions as they have moved to wealthier countries to earn more. US citizens are buying expensive beach side villas , Irish and other EU citizens also. I've never seen such a mix but the countryside is half empty with abandoned small holdings all over.

Most migrants who apply for refugee status _want_ to get out of the asylum system as quickly as possible. But until their application is accepted, they're literally not allowed to work. Once their applications are accepted, the evidence is that the vast majority of them do seek out work. The 'freeloading migrants' argument is nothing but a fearmongering strawman with no basis in reality. It just isn't happening, There is no evidence to show it is happening. What is true is that refugees are less likely to be in employment than UK nationals, but that is because there are so many barriers to employment for them - despite some of these refugees being very highly qualified. That isn't freeloading, though, that's wanting to work and not being able to.
If you want to talk about entitlement, how about the 6th richest country in the world (a country whose actions have had no small part in causing the migrant crisis in the first place) only taking less than 1% of the world's migrant population, and only having the 19th highest uptake per capita in Europe, and _still_ bitching about it. Expecting other countries to take on more of the burden, because we're such a special little island or something. The sheer entitlement, hubris, and complete lack of self-awareness of some people makes me embarrassed to be British.

The issue now is that the England my father knew and fought for in 1944 and brought us up in during the following few decades is not the same England I live in in 2023. There are too many misguided locals who will argue on behalf of migrants, and the government doesn't care because it is populated with rich people who are not impacted by local communities forced to accept hundreds of brown people speaking unidentifiable languages. I think you are correct, but the reason for many Europeans losing the will to remain and continue building their nations, is simply because of the wave of unwanted, undesired and unsustainable immigration into their lands. None of the European nations were consulted - no referenda were held to consult and gauge public opinion.

Take a moment to remember that all of this has only been possible because we are the ones who have been duped into actually financing it, and with our own dwindling assets and wealth. We've handed them an almost unlimited budget. Everything they do is because we have steadily been made to hand over our wealth. This has all been achieved via the mechanism where private groups have been allowed to create money as debt. Every single penny so created extracts at least a matching penny from your existing wealth. If people only realised how this mechanism worked, they would see that we can end this madness, by breaking the very mechanism that is busy enslaving all of us. Taken to its logical conclusion, we would also force the banks to repay what they have taken. Ending this sleight of hand would remove the very fuel that keeps the madness going.

I see hundreds of these people everyday. All they do is loaf around town. Our local park has a pavilion with electrical, so they can lay on the park bench and charge their telephones. Telephones that are also provided by welfare.
They spend their cash on booze and drugs, find a nice place on the sidewalk to lay down, and do it all over the next day.
