I have acne and really bad scarring on my face and I've heard witch hazel helps. It's a natural astringent. I've been using if for like 2 weeks and I can see a difference in my skin. It's supposed to get rid of scarring and I can see it doing that. So I would recommend trying it! But just a warning it doesn't smell good so that part kinda sucks. But I usually just use cotton pads and put the witch hazel on my face right after I get out the shower. But make sure to moisturize after you put it on!
Does your cheek acne get concentrated on one particular side of your face? I found the side of my cheek I slept on my pillow (right side) I had way more acne. So I started washing my pillow case every other day and eventually bought a silk pillowcase set, which I also change regularly. Everyone’s skin is different and I’m in no place to give advice at all but my acne is all gone for over a year now except the occasional pimple, used to have acne. But what helped me a lot (besides the usual drinking more water bullshit) was cutting out a lot of dairy and eating cleaner. I still eat meat. I noticed that when I eat a lot of junk food so a lot of sugar and a lot of salt I break out. Also I try not to wear foundation and concealer everyday because I found whatever product I use makeup especially foundation always breaks me out if I wear it two days in a row - and I take off my makeup thoroughly everyday. I used to be super into skincare and would buy exfoliators, toners, chemical exfoliants (AHAs), expensive moisturizers and face washes. It was drying out my skin and causing more acne. I would also Use acne topical creams that would dry out my skin. So I keep it simple now and use Cera-ve creamy face wash but it’s for normal to dry skin so it doesn’t dry me out. And I also use Cera ve PM moisturizer and their AM moutisizer (because the AM has sunscreen). Again I’m not trying to give out unsolicited skincare tips this is just what worked for me and I hope it helps anyone reading this
