This week I’ve been watching yarn destashing videos, and yours have come up. I’m so glad! Yesterday I watched the recent one from Crochet with Tuula Maria. It was awesome and everyone loved it! Just hanging out while she was weighing and talking about the different yarn and fibers, documenting on a spreadsheet and watching her organize it. People love this stuff, myself included. I hope you keep going with it! It almost feels like a lot of us were sort of hypnotized into acquiring huge amounts. I think we now need to have some inspiration for how to use it, organize it, reduce it, etc..
@@marina_m11 you're exactly right! I think a lot of us have acquired large amounts of it, and lots of the time we forget what we actually have 🙈 I have a few projects that'll be wrapped up for the July video, as well as some other stash busting type project ideas to use up odd yarns that have accumulated!
I would never weigh mine. I have 15 totes of the big ones a couple of ones on wheels and many huge moving plastic bags. NEVER EVER!. They are all different kinds ,and colors.
OOOH ALSO!!! For your bulky and super bulky- I don’t have a specific pattern to recommend, but you should make a stitch sampler blanket! That way you don’t have to lug around a giant half finished blanket that’s made all in one piece, plus it keeps it interesting! I know I get bored around halfway through a blanket, just repeating the same stitches over and over…😊
@@catalinareveco4486 haha glad you enjoyed it! I would call myself and artist, but I don't currently sell anything. I've accepted the fact that it's not feasible for me to sell the kind of things I like to make (garments that take 15+ hours to make at least). I've written a few crochet patterns, which is why I've amassed so many different kinds of yarns, but decided to take a break from that a few months ago. So now I just make things for myself, my family, and for the entertainment of UA-camrs haha.
YES to the patchwork swatch blanket!!! I’ve been debating making a patchwork blanket of sorts just using all my failed projects 🤦♂️😅 cuz Ive got quite a bit of fabric made up for some of them and I know I’ll never finish them, but it feels like a waste of time and effort to frog them… especially for ones where I don’t like the yarn anyways!! Basically yes to patchwork blankets lol!
This is what I call a yarn paradise!! I put some of my yarn in those jumbo vacuum sealed bags in a closet in my room. Ur I really want to get totes for the yarn instead . I don’t have as much as you do . I’m just trying to work on what I’m doing now. 3 afghans and then I’ll see about what else to buy lol Tfs ❤
It’s all part of the fun of yarn!! We get distracted and start doing other things or projects!! It’s just therapy girl. I just need a 2 day break my fingers start tingling 😂
The crochet granny squares are very beautiful, you can make something to wear for the summer or a cute bag... I watched until the end and olala you have allot of yarn which means lots of wonderful opportunities to play with yarn and creat something wonderful 🎉
I just love this, it's so real and so fun to watch you to face your stash. I once "sold it all" and moved into a van and within 3 weeks I already had a fabric and yarn stash growing (and I didn't even have a sewing machine, I could only hand sew!, that's how strong the pull is!!!!
@@ladellweinbach2714 ah yeah the yarn/craft addiction is strong once it gets ahold of you 😂 glad you enjoyed it! I like to record as unscripted/authentic as possible!

@@diana1096 haha dang! yeahhh it might take a while to get through weighing it all!!
Hi :) you should make a video talking about your next projects and showing us the patterns and yarn you’ll be using for it!
hello! that was actually the topic of my last video that I posted a little while ago! :)

I was also inspired by Retro Claude to weigh all my yarn, it was difficult but worth it ❤
