Such a very convincing sweeper that Nora! Wonder if there was really anything to sweep? And so convincing was Cleggy at being so easily embarrassed! I believe in all the characters. LOL! Love this episode!
, I would love to see more shows turned around to be mostly the ladies I really get a kick out of those ladies and the man but the ladies need to be seen more by me
I love the Last of the Summer Wine but I swear the women in this show treat their men so bad. But the darn show is funny as hell & I never get tired of Watching these old repeats. Thanks
Big Jesse ! Tulip ! Pillock! Robin Hood ! Keeper of the Flame !!Too Too Funny!! Never Lost , only slightly confused 😂😂😂😂can’t give information ,,, too right,,,, 😂😂😂😂
All gone now except for Keith Clifford (Billy Hardcastle), Tom Owen (Tom Simmonite, Compo's son), Brian Murphy (Alvin), Ken Kitson (Policeman Cooper), Josephine Tewson (Miss Davenport), plus the relatively youngers Sarah Thomas (Glenda Wilkinson ) and Mike Grady (Barry Wilkinson).
In "Are You Being Served," it was Young Mr. Lucas, always at the far end of the counter, near the men's fitting room. Mr. Lucas was always after Miss Braum, the young blond in Ladies' Underwear. The gay guy was Mr. Humphries. Mr. Humphries had platinum blond hair & always stood between Mr. Lucas & the Men's Wear Dept. Manager. The man who played Mr. Humphries was the most talented actor of the entire cast. He sure could dance. Wish there were more episodes showing him dancing. He danced beautifully. They're all gone now, unless the gal who played Shirley Braum is still alive. R.I.P. all...😳😞😥
9 times out of 10, Nora Batty has those hair rollers in her hair. What does Compo see in her anyway? There was a real cute redhead young lady in one of the shows.
Great show, shame ended and half members no longer with us, it was never as good after Bill Owen and Brian Wilde left but some good moments and Burt Kwuok and Russ abbot afterwards.
The actors that portrayed Pearl, Howard, Marina, Barry and Glenda are the only ones left from the Original Series. I believe. Not 100% sure. Also not sure about the later additions to the cast
I would disagree. What do you consider the “original series?” Pearl, Howard, Marina, Barry and Glenda don’t come along until later. What I would the original series is the first 2 seasons consisting of the original trio of Compo, Cleggy, and Blamire
@@anonymousonyx9168 I know that the actor who played Blamire and Bill Owen did not get along(political differences I read), but those early shows were my favorites. The character of Howard drives me nuts a bit. Still-love this series-so much so that I bought the DVD set.
That it is. He was a guest star once before becoming a recurring character for the last few seasons. Surprised they didn't try to get a few scenes with him and Frank Thornton together again.
Without Bill Owen and Brian Wilde this programme feels as eerie as the tail end of the Carry on series when most of the regulars were missing. The canned laughter adds a desperate air but Sarah Thomas is fun
Can we not have this series updated, as it is so funny. But include the men getting their own back on the women. In those days men were the main workers who provided money for buying the houses. The women should be kinder. Pearl treats Howard like a servant, yet it was Howard who provided everything in the house.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Sadly we've lost a great generation of people who really loved their craft in comedy. Such great ability to play off each other.
So true.
My favourite series of all time. I watch them all the time.
Such a very convincing sweeper that Nora! Wonder if there was really anything to sweep? And so convincing was Cleggy at being so easily embarrassed! I believe in all the characters. LOL! Love this episode!
Love love love Last of the Summer. Wine.
life can become a huge bag of s**t often, but click on the boys, the moors, and pure joy in living is a mental life saver for me.
can't get enough of this show
Jeffrey Iron Bear. Just like you gentlemen love the show, no matter how many times you see an episode." Car's and Garter's" is a classic.

I so do agree
incredible upload Thomas Singletary. I killed the thumbs up on your video. Keep on up the really good work.
...lovely detail at 20:43, only noticed it today...'Truly of the Yard' putting his arm in the back of Norman Clegg to help him to sit :-)))
Watching this series makes me happy to be single.
Big Jesse ! Tulip ! Pillock! Robin Hood ! Keeper of the Flame !!Too Too Funny!! Never Lost , only slightly confused 😂😂😂😂can’t give information ,,, too right,,,, 😂😂😂😂
Alvin displays the mannerisms of William Powell. Very clever, and it suits the character well.
Don't you just Love it ☺️
Opening scene
HILARIOUS
I wish the video on TV was good as these, and a FULL screen !! USA
Well done marina. Do Howard’s other eye too
...loved the bit from 11:17-11:59...the dummy sitting in the back of Entwistle's truck...

Josephine Tewson is now gone, as well...
And Tom Owen too.
I'd love to see more about the two cops, maybe a series even.
They tried - never took off.
Dame June Whitfield ❤
Barry is one of the nicest men. His wife is learning to be a meany by mixing with the old women.
Would be great to have a 21st century comedy showing how people behave.
Unfortunately, the majority of my fellow boomers appear too pathetic to be remotely entertaining 🤷🏼♀️
Horrors😂😂😂
The captain is mr lucas from are you being served !
@Spencer Sims no the guy at the golf course that hit his head on his car hatch is lucas . They called him captain

Cleggy was in every one of the episodes. Played by Peter Sallis who passed recently.
This would have been much better without Glenda & My Barry, what bores! Pearl & Marina are gone ,Bless.

at 10.58, best bit ever lol it should happen more often to Howard (Hateful man)
Hor
Haa/ haa haa.
God forbid they would try and chain a woman for a comedy show...

And Pearl had kept house all her life, and was still doing the work while Howard tried to sneak off with another woman
@@glen7318hy are you taking a situation comedy as real? It's a tribute to these actors and writers.
After Foggy left for good the show lost something. It was never as good again.
