- The muhurat of film Raftaar saw the biggest stars from Bollywood. Steven Segal, Bal Thackeray and veteran actor Dilip Kumar light the lamp. Smita Thackeray accompanies Bala shaeb. Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt can be seen chatting with each other. Later, Manisha Koirala and Juhi Chawla are also called up on stage. Sanjay Dutt is seen with his girlfriend of the time, Rhea Pillai.
Originally, Firoz Nadiadwala was about to make an action film “Raftaar”, for which he even signed Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, and Tabu. However, due to some creative differences with Firoz, Sanjay Dutt walked out from the film. Then Sunil Shetty confirmed his entry in the film.

He started the long hair style, which many Bollywood Stars followed. It was a craze during the 90s. Lots of guys used to follow that hairstyle, wanted to look like him. He also started the bodybuilding trend in Bollywood. His style in Vaastav was just incredible. Never has an actor portrayed a gangster with so much intensity and style.

Raftar,which later became "Hera pheri"(2000)Sanjay Dutt got replaced by Sunil Shetty,Karishma was replaced by Tabbu,Namrata Shirodkar replaced Raveena Tandon,this muhurut was done on 11/1/1997 and is infamously remembered for Shahurukh Khan's fight with the prouducer Firoz Nadiadwala,when he allegedly fired shots at him and almost ended his life,Bollywood tried everything to suppress the news but it eventually came out.
He didn't shoot him he fought with him saying Firoz is working with a waiter and a convict which he should feel ashamed of!!! But yes fight happened!!!

Edit: well I just realised that Raftaar movie is actually hera pheri and Sanju Baba was supposed to play Shyam.. and trust me, though, Anna is Legendary shyam, I imagined some scenes where baba would've done better.. like that Tabu scene "Aye haye kya mardana chal hai", the scene where Shyam meets Raju's mother Even in the sequel imagine, in the same year of Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Imagine the dialogue "Main to bas Pati banna chahta hoon" in Baba's style.. but anyways Anna has also given a life to Shyam's Charecter, we can't deny the fact
