On the surface, for the world, people always made parallel lives/societies irrespective of state policies, be in USSR, or eastern Europe....and culture always win over religion, that's why Bangladesh separated from Pakistan. Persian culture is different from that of Arabs, and that shows. In today's world, you can't believe anything at the surface level. People anywhere want to live good life, with a good mix of work and play, Iranians are not any different.

Good job beta. Appreciate your hard work, love you from heart. Exactly, even for people of my age 55+ we always say Bombay. As we love that name. It’s vvvhard to say something else. Love for the place is attached with that particular word. And as you have asked our opinion, I don’t think we as an Indian would be able to even match the great Iranian hospitality. To be honest, there’s an hatred being put in to our hearts by some anti social elements. What are we gonna reply to our Lord, Almighty,Allah/Ishwar. That we had grudges/hatred towards each other, just coz of religion. Almighty says, he love’s all his slaves, And for him all his slaves are equal, irrespective of cast, creed, religion, power, wealth..bla..bla....So when the Lord of Universe loves all his slaves, then who are we, what rights do we have to hate each other. I hope and pray to Almighty to give us hidayat and keep all of us on the right path. Much love, God bless from Bombay.

There is huge difference between your view of God and humans, God does not consider us as his slaves, neither God needs slaves, infact we consider that we are a part of God and God is in us and that we strive to be the one with God. We are God Loving not God fearing... anyways one is free to be his slave or his part.

It's not too far, It's cheap, great hospitality, surprisingly a lot of urdu words we use are common in Persian language too, our foreign relations with Iran are also good, overall seems like a great place to travel & explore. I commend Iranian's for their bravery for not bowing down to the State in the matter of Religion. I personally knew a few Iranians when I lived in Australia & they did not follow any religion as well & were really fun to be around. People from other countries should learn from them because if we identify ourselves with a religion very strongly we cannot respect/appreciate the person of a different religion & there will always be friction & differences.

Wrong! Worldly Mughals were not interested in mass conversions at all. They just ruled and were by and large very comfortable with Hindu subjects. Conversions took place with concomitant arrival of Muslim missionaries / Sufis in the neighbouring western regions. Muslim rule however gave these missionaries a sort of favourable environment and protection. It was never a state-sponsored affair. You can't convert even a single person by force as he would eventually revert to his previous faith at the date and time of his choosing sometimes even generations thereafter.. It is a matter of your inner spirituality.

Ignore the negativity and stay true to yourself with honesty and openness. Fundamentalism has no place in today's world, and it's inspiring to see so many educated young people embracing neutrality. This shift is part of why the often misunderstood country has made such impressive progress, despite facing numerous sanctions and restrictions. It’s astonishing to see their infrastructure flourishing under these challenges.
The day is approaching when those who try to control others will lose everything they hold dear. I urge everyone to respect each other's beliefs and not force your own views upon others. this is not true. You have to be an Iranian who lived during the time of the Shah to know how much injustice they were subjected to. The development of science took place after the Shah, and you can see the scientific achievements of Iran and the world ranks it is achieving now ... As for the fact that some people do not pray or wear hijab, this is their freedom and the state does not force them to do so. What you see in the media are just rumours. Don't judge a country if you don't live in it

Due to bad publicity by media ,Iran has been portraid as an ugly Islamic Republic but your sincere efforts has made a lot of difference to our perception of Iran. Iran is a beautiful place and its people are wonderful.

But you have gone to the urban areas.. and met with upper class, educated..
This is not the whole of Iran, as anywhere in the world, 80% including US there is hunger and homelessness.
So going to any country you must be sure where you are going and what can be consequences of going like a simple man.
      This is also true.

We know iranians are turning atheists because many iranians come to Pune for study and migrate from India to West. India is their route to freedom. Bilkul achi hospitality inhe mil rahi hai. This is happening from many decades, it's nothing new. Have met such people so nothing strange.
