That's not how it works. Fight IQ is purely how smart you fight. It's your pattern recognition (IQ) in a fight, meaning that if someone leans into their lead leg too much, it'd be a good idea to chop away at it, or if someone is off balance, to pressure the center of mass to tip the weight, or if someone is bigger than you to use the terrain to your advantage and blindside them, etc. It's your ability to recognize and exploit such things to gain an advantage. Kratos is good at this, no question. He does it consistently from GOW1 to GOWR. Half his battles are won by use of the terrain (Hermes, Hraezlyr, Hades, Hercules, Leviathan, and many more). But he's far from the only one to do this. His fight IQ is high, but it can be higher. Look at Death from Darksiders for example of someone who has far higher fight IQ. Kratos without some advantage from the terrain isn't a very clever fighter, likely because he's a Spartan at his core and used to a set way of fighting. When you see how Wonder Woman and Superman fought Doomsday for example, you can tell those two fought more intelligently than Kratos tends to do.

Kratos is good at this, no question. He does it consistently from GOW1 to GOWR. Half his battles are won by use of the terrain (Hermes, Hraezlyr, Hades, Hercules, Leviathan, and many more). But he's far from the only one to do this. His fight IQ is high, but it can be higher. Look at Death from Darksiders for example of someone who has far higher fight IQ. Kratos without some advantage from the terrain isn't a very clever fighter, likely because he's a Spartan at his core and used to a set way of fighting. When you see how Wonder Woman and Superman fought Doomsday for example, you can tell those two fought more intelligently than Kratos tends to do.

@@sentientbottleofglue6272 Yeah, that's the distinction between fight/battle IQ for me. Battle is more across a battlefield. Fight IQ is more one on one. But since these are one on one engagements, I'd say fight IQ (or battle IQ as most call it in these edits) can be won by people other than Kratos.
