Yurick Hunt one other member named Miguel survived the initial attack, suffering an head injury... he was however killed later on by a further mutated Birkin.
Hunk IS the only surviving member of U.S.S Alpha Team
Yurick Hunt that's however not really canonical as Miguel was designed to be a character in RE: Outbreak but was cut from the final release.
He could be unlock by using cheats like GameShark or ActionReplay and had two distinct models and full coverage on stats and background.
One model had the initial U.S.S gear and had visible damage from Birkins claws.
Tobi-Navu - so technically in canon Hunk was the only survivor. Hunk was a true badass, besides the enigmatic Tofu lol
I think the creepiest/oddest thing is how his face kinda slides down towards his chest and is replaced by another head. And I always love seeing the characters as they transform in a last ditch effort to destroy the protagonists. Imagine injecting yourself with a virus and watching yourself mutate in real time, knowing there's basically no going back. You have no idea what you'll turn into or if you'll even retain any of your humanity or memories. You can no longer live a normal life within society. All you can do is fade away and kill. It's a cool and chilling thought.
Lucent You know, I actually think about that a lot because I love Resident Evil and the mutations also. Especially Williams's. It's desperation to do something like that and makes think what would be my last coherent thoughts before I fully transform. It is intriguing indeed.

Birkin himself is the thing I'm most hyped about in the RE2 Remake. So many badass designs to his character, and the lore is great too.

If i can be honest resident evil has literally been one of those games with so much diversity and back story. it’s all so fascinating. if only we could get somebody to do the movies justice or none at all and focus on the games on the right track again. I did enjoy RE7 and it’s not a guilty pleasure.

Fun fact. Both William and Annette were supposed to be infected with the G-Virus, but that was scrapped and replaced with just William. Now hoping that in the remake, Birkin's malformations will be as graphical as possible, and the transitions between them outright disturbing.

Solid content here, I can't really pick a favorite between the G-Virus monster and Mr. X, but both of them together made RE2 the best game in the franchise, it redressed all the weaknesses in the voice acting and lack of character development in the first game while not going overboard with the startle scares and riot-scenario situations like RE3 Nemesis did. All 3 games are spectacular, but RE2 was absolutely flawless, almost 20 years to the day and no Survival Horror Game has ever topped it.

Hey Acidman, I love your videos and am a subscriber of your channel. The mistake I saw on this video was that you said William Birkin crushed both T and G virus samples with the rats eating T. If that was the case, there would be T and G virus creatures in Raccoon City. William did crushed and open the capsules containing the T-virus, but he literally picked up and eaten all the G-virus samples in the game, that is why William is the only G creature in Raccoon City. Look at old school cutscene from RE2 my dude!!!! Keep it up with the vids and peace out!!!!

Out of all bosses, mutations and viruses in the entire series, I think G and the G-virus are definitely the best ones. Birkin's mutations are the most horrifying, violent and chaotic.
And while the mutations in the remake are okay, I think the original did them much better. You can hear the skin being torn with the new tissue forming beneath squelching, all while bleeding and dripping pus. In the remake, the new limbs just sort of pop out.
It's also kind of scary seeing a brilliant (mad) scientist turn into this mindless mass of meat and bone, especially when you can still see what's left of William slowly being consumed by the virus in each mutation.
Also Curtis Miller in Resident Evil Degeneration. He also infected himself with the Golgotha Virus. I like his form as well.

It's funny how him and his science bro Wesker got opposite results with the viruses they dedicated their lives to. Wesker got what he wanted, he became a superhuman. Meanwhile, Birkin hoped for the same, yet turned into an abomination. I wonder what Wesker would think if he had seen G-Birkin. Birkin would definitely have gotten jealous if he had seen post-mansion Wesker.

His "peak" form is the 4 armed one, after that he's "devolving" regressing to a form that runs on 4 legs then the blob form. The problem with the G virus is do to its still experimental state , its inherently unstable and can cause it's hosts genetic makeup to unravel so to say. That's why the mutations are so rapid and how birkin ended up a blob. My curiosity about the G-virus is what exactly happens to a person that's bred by a G-type creature. We already know that sherry got a healing factor from her experience, but that was after little gestation time and a vaccine was used. Unfortunately when you're a G type creature your made into a murderous, incestuous ,rapist. Quite literally a monster.
Leroy Johnston The G-virus, often speculated as God Virus or Generation Virus (The Vaccine is called Devil so..), causes the host organism to search and mate with its own blood relatives to create offsprings, or Children to continue its line. And since its only capable of only mating with its own DNA, other people infected will be rejected by the virus and create new G-organisms called G-Embryo and Adult-G respectively, hence why Irons went Aliens style and died. Its also the reason why William Birkin persisted on hunting Sherry down and "Inject"/"Mate"/"Incest" his own daughter..Which actually did happen.

Birkin's 3rd transformation is my favorite creature from Resident Evil, Nemesis is the 2nd, and the 2nd form of the Tyrant T-0400TP is my third favorite.

A couple points. While largely correct, there are a couple of minor inaccuracies in this video. First, James Marcus was not isolated in the Arklay lab, he had his own lab under the Umbrella Management Training Facility. Second, Wesker was never officially made head of the Arklay lab. John Clemens, a high level researcher from Umbrella's Chicago branch office, and boyfriend (or spy subject) of Ada Wong, was sent to take over after Birkin's transfer to the Raccoon City underground facility.

One thing I thought was interesting about the G Virus is that a large eye forms on the injection sight cause that's where the majority of the G Virus cells are located. It's like that's where the "brain" of G is located cause after enough mutations Berkins original head was absorbed into the torso while the eye took over and became Gs new head.
If this operation of retrieving the g-virus from Birkin was carried out by wolfpack canon, the G would have got rekt

Looking at the 5th form of G, there are several dead bodies aside from birkins. It looks like this form is also capable of absorbing the corpses of his victims into itself to add onto it's cells. In this case it was probably the zombies you either left alone or killed off while getting the train ready on A route.

To my knowledge, Wesker wasn't made head of the Arkley facility, he was a security officer. At least that's how he's addressed in the file which contains his orders to lure S.T.A.R.S. into the mansion. How ever he does have access to top tier research during the mansion incident, meaning he likely occupied a space between scientist and security. James Marcus describes him as 'Practical Albert'.

Rockstar15678 Correct. Anyone who was not genetically related to the original host (Birkin) could still be implanted, but instead of mutating, it was chestburster city (like Police Chief Birkin and the reporter who thought he was safe in that cell.)
I just heard of Williams plan on giving the G-Virus to the US recently. Where was this stated? Ive played the games 1-5 and I dont remember that being in any of them. I loved reading the lore within the game. Granted it has been a while since Ive played the older titles.
