Shane is such a great role model to all players he isn't cocky he knows his skill and always shakes his opponent's hand and even when he crushes it, he is HUMBLE
Qros you can’t be on top all the time. It’s rare, the level of focus it takes to never miss on some of these tables is incredibly high. People have emotions and go through moods in pool 😂
@@AlgiR8 sure he doesn’t always win on the stage but would bet everything you own against ur best player in a long race on any given time off the tv stage??lol
Hard to follow this match when they're playing with these Easter eggs I don't know why people feel they have to keep changing the color of the pool balls
So many pool experts here who seem to neglect the gentleman's code of not kicking a fellow when he's down. Like to see how many of them can go a round with Shane and leave the hall with more than a goose egg.
I've seen games where ppl place the 9 ball in the second diamond (e.g. mosconi cup) and games like this one where ppl place the 1 ball in the second diamond? Did the rules change or is it a decision made by the tournament directors?
I don't know how he does it (exactly) but SVB looks unimaginably relaxed on his break shot. Like he's putting almost no effort in it. It's a marvel to witness him break a rack. I don't understand why the camera only shows the rack of balls being broken on many break shots and not the player breaking. Personally I want to watch the player AND the rack being broken ALL the time. What is going through the mind/s of whoever makes this idiotic decision to only show the rack of balls being hit by the breaker ? When I go to watch a live tournament I don't put blinders on my head so I can't see the player/s break the rack. The reason for that is because I want to watch the players break. If blinders on my head were required to watch a pool match I'd NEVER go to a tournament as an observer. So why do these camera men/women think that's what we want to see. It's pathetic.
Dr. Dave did a video about Shane's break. Its amazing how effortless he makes it look while generating a bunch of power and still keeping the cue straight and parallel. ua-cam.com/video/WAEnKCL3stU/v-deo.html
A slow player is hard to watch and also annoying to play against. Pool has to have a shot clock, like Mosconi cup has. It should be in the book. Also, pattern braking and other stuff ... just let it be. If you are good enough, run 43 racks in a row. They never changed the order in snooker, ever, did they? All those snooker players can pot any coloured ball from the spot with the cueball anywhere on the table. That is their practice, patterns. Also, in pool it has to be a new rule: points. That is why in snooker the winner gets 300000$ and in pool 3000$. Because snooker has an audience, tv and also a crowd. Both sports are very hard and takes a lot of work and sacrifice to be the best, but the rules are wrong in pool. That is also why they keep changeing them all the time. At each competition there are different rules. Can't use the magic rack, can't use the jump cue, 9 on the spot, shot clock, 3 balls over the brake area, etc. It has to have a scoring system. It is not fair for a player to play like an amateur and pot the 7, 8 and 9 after the pro player didn't get shape after a bank. If all the balls are random on the table, the shots themselves have to have points. Per dificulty and also for taking chances. For example: you get 1 point if you pot the 9 ball. But if the 8 ball is hard and also a shape for 9 is hard, you get 3 points if you pot the 8 ball. This can be done with a software system which has all the angles and all the shots in the database. Before every shot the player can see the points for each shot. Also, if he chooses to play safe versus engage in a hard shot of 3 points. That way, the best player can win and the game/sport can be watched by others. This game is meant to be a race, not a gamble.
Not that annoying to play against slow players, because a slow player usually sucks, doesn't know what the hell shot they are looking for. Annoying in that sense, but obviously they're an easy out.
@Martin H. The same goes to you from my side. You wouldn't bother to give arguments, you just give me a superior attitude and that's it. So YOU know nothing about snooker, believe me, I do know a lot about snooker and pool ... but ...who's counting sentences? PS: the practice routine of a 10 years old is to run all the coloured balls. No reds. It is called practice position. That is why you rarely see a snooker player miss the spotted coloured balls. The same as in chess, the first thing you learn about chess is to mate an opponent in classic scenarious in order to do it mechancaly under pressure. You learn how to do it only with a queen, rook, etc.
@Martin H. Lol. Well this afirmation, really made me understand where you sit, with your knowledge. The snooker players, when facing the REspotted black, a tie, din't take chances. It is too much in stake. What a false argument came to your mind in defending yourself regarding a statement extracted out of context. Jesus Christ ... this isolation is not good for a lot o people.

1 on the spot is traditional, 9 on the spot makes it harder to pot a ball. Just alternate rules.
Some directors put the 9 on the spot to stop the soft break..

what cue is svb using?
I think it's a Cuetec Cynergy carbon fiber cue.
