your tutorials are made as best. So exactly, and your videos are made perfect. Sometimes i wish that you explain what effect some step in the layer window has.
I am using CS6 and have (I think) done all that you have shown. BUT, after I add the BAS RELIEF filter, the image does not turn to gold but stays bright yellow. Is there something I am not doing correctly? I love some help on this - Thanks.
I did exactly like you did, only i get bright yellow picture after adding the BAS RELIEF filter, what do i do wroong. I use Photoshop CC. Thanks for helping..
Hi Marty, You always do great work, thanks for your tutorials. Just one little tip on this one... The lighting on the face and the coin does not match. The coin edge (inner rim), as well as your drop shadow, shows lighting from the top left, but the face appears to be lit from the bottom right making it look like the face is debossed rather than embossed. At first glance, I saw a debossed face. Maybe that's the look you were going for, but that would not be how most medallions are made. If the lighting was consistent, the face would have highlights on her right cheek and upper right forehead (from photo's perspective) for an embossed relief look.
After adding base relief filter , I have found the object bright yellow , i have tried many values , what to do to get the right texture? thanks in advance Marty
You are awesome in your tutorial. Your teaching skill is very high with easy and fantastic method. I never forget you and miss your these great job. Keep it on. Special a lot of thanks from me.
Great tutorial but unfortunately I got stuck after I moved the head to the coin: the color does not turn to the gold of the coin but remains light yellow. I have no clue where I made a mistake. :-(

Eric Barbieri Yes, I agree. When analyzing the lighting source, one can see that the rim is lit from one direction and the face from another.
what a great teacher. you made it by detail i really love it. easy to follow.
