My own experience is that you first memorise the lyrics of the song, then pay attention to the tune and sing or humm it with your own voice. Then you will be able to play the song in any instrument, be it Harmonium, guitar violin, Madolin, etc. etc, You have to learn to play the seven pure notes, four komol notes and one teebra note, totally 12 notes in that particular instrument and finally decide on the scale in which you will play the song. The concept remains the same. If the song and rhythm comes to your heart you will be able to play the same easily yourself by trial and error method as all songs must come within the 12 notes.
