Thank you for the video. My son gave me a grafting tool for Christmas almost 2 years ago and I have not used it, plan to remedy that this year now that I know how it works. :)
Thanks, good to know, you'd better have a try by yourself. BTW, I have another updated video related to this tool. Check it out, and share with us your experience. Good luck.
I bought it to graft my lemon plant. It makes my life super easy. It took me less than 1 minute to finish grafting. I should have bought it long time ago.
Good luck. 👍
did you graft?
This thing works great. Always a perfect graft so far for me.
Good to know.
Thanks for the detailed video I just bought this product and wasn't sure how to use it.
No worry, you will find the answer from the video.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. God bless you.
Thanks a lot. GOD bless you too. 🙏
Great video.. I have the same black patches on my lemon tree... What is those?? And how can i remove them?
Thanks for watching. I think I that time I once sprayed some chemical on the plants which might cause some toxicity to the leaves. I am not sure what it looks like on your lemon tree leaves, but if citrus is healthy, you can just simply ignore it.
On my grafting tool you have to also turn the orange stop to match the cutter blade.
Based on my tool, I do not have to turn to match. But the orange stuff are easily damaged if I cut harder or make many cuts.
Great video. Thank you for sharing. What is your favourite blade shape to use for grafting?
Thanks, I would choose omega shape first. But manual grafting using grafting knife is the best.
@@LAyangfamily Grafting knife is best due to less bruising of the tissue?
@@dianatrac81 Yes, you are absolutely right. This is one of the reasons I found when I used this kind of tool a lot, especially when the blade is not sharp enough. I am going to make a video specifically talking about some issues when using tool but not knife. Check out my other grafting videos by clicking playlist "grafting " on my UA-cam channel, thanks, good luck.
blades are dull branch cracked when you cut it.
Which blade shape is better for the beginner? Your favorite shape is omega, could you explain why? Thank you for your good invention.
Omega is better than two others, both rootstock and scion lock each other and match more security.
BTW, I posted an updated video about this tool, you might want to watch it before you decide to buy or use this kind of tool.
Very nice instrument what is the price how to get
@maheshgaikwad6845 Please check out my another updated video before you decide to buy it. Thanks. ua-cam.com/video/Yji2NpXBRlA/v-deo.htmlsi=n-hHrljgEDMmiYTF
Thank you, great demonstration!
Thanks.
I have this thing. Unfortunately the cuts never fit snug and they just fall
..aren't you suppose to wrap the graft in grafting tape after? Sounds like you're just leaving it unwrapped
@@epigeneticnerd4244
What I mean is that the cuts don't fit back snugly. Even trying to wrap it will still have it flapping all over the place as well as just not have good cambium contact.
Even someone who has never grafted before is better off trying to do simple techniques learnt off youtube and will still have a higher success rate of a cut that doesn't fit properly
@@D-d-dvon what method do you like most? I’m about to start grafting for the first time with figs. I also hear cutting as much of the root stock branches off as possible helps them take better/reduces competition.
I'd like you to do cleft grafting, easy and simple with a pretty good success rate. At least 0.5 inch for both contact.
Wrap and secure the graft union is a must. Better wrap the sicon to prevent drying out.
Hello, what is the minimum diameter to graft with this machine? 5 millimeters?
Recommended pencil ✏️ sized braches for grafting.
Thank you
Thank you. Well done.
Does it work for mango tree?
@@mangomuslim2166 check my another updated video for your question. Please click the link I pinned in the comments.
Nice instructional video my friend, I ask you is there a specific lunar face to do the grafting technique.
Hi, my friend, it would not be so tricky. Basically you can do grafting anytime year round if you live in some warm area. Spring might be the best time, but summer and fall still works prettywell. I just did some grafting a couple of days ago. I would not recommend you to do grafting during the winter especially for some dormant trees and in cold winter areas. But if you live in tropical areas, that would be different story. Actually grafting is pretty easy, not as most people think. Now I can do grafting like a pro. Check out my grafting technique playlist. Thanks, good luck.
@@LAyangfamily I live in Puerto Rico in the Caribbean, its tropical weather all year long.
@@paullopez3214 Hi, Paul, congratulations! You live in a fantastic area like heaven on earth. I think you can do it all year round because the climate is amazing. Today I am also planning to graft Calamansi on my citrus tree 🌳. Hopefully it is not too late because I want to all the grafted varieties can have chances to bloom next spring. BTW, usually it takes about 3 weeks to sprout after grafting then you know whether you succeed or not. Good luck.
@@LAyangfamily is there an email or number where I can contact you, really interested on grafting and planting, I subscribed to your channel.
@@paullopez3214 Paul, thanks for your support, you can reach me by email layangfamily@gmail.com anytime or you can also leave any comments under your interested videos just like this, I will try my best to answer any questions and share my experience. Thanks again, have a good day.
Plz show a successful grafting of this machine.
I will make a new video talking about this kind of tool kit.

Give the result of grafting, it is successful?
Yes, you are right, thanks for your inquiry. I have tried on some plants, we will see whether it works or not. Hopefully it works. Cross the fingers.

How can I acquire one of these grafting tools?
These tools are commercially available on many websites such as Amazon and Temu etc.
Excellent
Thanks for your support.
Nice device!
So far it woks well, it really makes my work easier and more efficient, so I can do more grafting work. But for other grafting techniques, I still have to do manually.

@@LAyangfamily what a brand of grafting tools?is it good tools for graft?
@pitermannaseventy9723 Actually, there are a lot of different brand names for this kind of tool, but they are pretty much the same. You can check my video. It shows the brand name. I have another updated video, I would rather you watch this new video first before you make a decision whether you need one or not. Click the link down below for watching this video. Thanks.

i used that tool to make around 25 of the 100 grafts on that male fig tree and only 4 worked.
i did it realllllly bad tho.
i used a bigger one i got on amazon that has 2 big razors on it.
i loved that one for bigger branches
do you have the results video posted?
@@110publicsnubsseemyprofile3 not right now, but kind of the tool has some drawbacks compared with manual grafting using grafting knife. Now for all the grafting I'd like to use knife but not tool. I am thinking I will probably make a video to share some experience that why I failed in some grafting.
@@LAyangfamily so what i noticed, it makes that perfect puzzle piece cut but it pinches the layers together, so what i would do was smooth it over with a small knife but i am the 4% pro so maybe you can help me figure out how to use that thing better.

I agree with you. Click the link down below in the description to watch my another video explaining the reasons why I do not like this tool set. 😊👍
Thanks for doing this video. The instructions on the package is worthless. You did great.
Thanks a lot, have fun and good luck. If you want, you might be interested in and check out the playlist "grafting techniques" on my UA-cam channel.
You’re grafting a branch to itself? What’s the point? You don’t show a graft of a scion from a different plant onto a rootstock. Of course the same two parts of one branch will fit together perfectly 🙄
Sorry, bro, you might not get the point. That part of the video just demonstrates the cut, not for real grafting. Acturally, even though the tool can make a clean cut, later I found this kind of tool has some design problems. Check out my other video related to this tool. The link is downbelow. It might be useful to you. Thanks and good luck. ua-cam.com/video/Yji2NpXBRlA/v-deo.htmlsi=LfyTd4G77gN2hjVz
Price please
This kind of tool kit usually cost $20 -30 on Amazon depending on how many stuff inside and brand name.
Es más el dolor de cabeza que el avance para uso comercial no funciona funciona para uso casero 😮
Perdonen mi sinceridad a veces eso me ha traído problemas 🥺

Didn't make great experience with crafting apple varieties and plum varieties using this tool.
I once grafted an apple 🍎 tree using cleft grafting technique by a grafting knife. It was pretty easy and successful. I will try again when my apple tree grows bigger.
@@LAyangfamily I am often using modified cleft and modified tong/whip. It's to 90% successful if I use my crafting knife. But with the mentioned tool I tried the omega- and v-shape. Fail on 80% of the crafts. That's my bad experience with this tool.
@PhonicXander yes, it makes sense. For probable reasons, I once made a video, and you can watch it by clicking the link listed in this video's description section.

Tool works ok, downside, blunts very quickly. Your tape demo is flawed though, in reality holding the tape and turning the scion/graft to make it look easy is not an option.
Thanks for your comments. Good luck with your tool.
