Played this game to death on the good'ol C64. One of the best conversions on the system. Same goes for the Famicom Disk version. It is near perfect. It always kind of made me laugh at how crappy Konami's arcade hardware was until the board thst powered TMNT, yet they were always so awesome on home consoles. Just compare this game to Wonderboy or Space Harrier, both from the same year! Same could be said of comparing Crime Fight and Final Fight. They used to be side by side at my local Timezone and it looked pathetic graphically next to Final Fight.
You're not going to believe just what kind of junk Hollywood CA makes these days; a strong reference to the 1996 sci-fi comedy movie called, 'Mars Attacks.'
Rush'n Attack, originally released in Japan and Europe as Green Beret, is a run and gun arcade game released by Konami in 1985. Rush'n Attack is remembered for its Cold War setting (the title is a play on "Russian attack") and its reliance on the player using a knife to dispatch enemies. This must be a Japan or Europe emulation. In the United States, Green Beret was a John Wayne movie.
I wish I could remember the name of 80.s game where you had to save people from flying saucers & and when a level finished it would say LUCKY LUCKY for every one you saved. I even beat the darn game/ cant remember the name

I find it hard to believe that us fellow Americans; are all the more in the mood, to criminalize Christianity. It's required by law that; we have to have all Holy Bibles, packed away in clear plastic shrink wraps.
Bien, pero está jugado en nivel easy,se nota porque salen 2 soldados de frente,y en normal salen 3,yo lo jugué en normal y tambien lo terminé sin perder, fijate en mi canal en videos subidos, saludos.
The sprites are sharper here, but I kinda think the C64 version beats the arcade version shown here graphically and musically... graphics for C64 version are more abstract and "artistic", if that makes any sense (and of course the SID chip on the C64 makes sweet sweet dreamy sounds, as everyone knows)
I loved this game. Spent all my money on it in the video shop. Great memories!
Me too in 90s ...hhhhhhhhh
In the first 5 seconds the sound made me smile. Great memories.
That moment in the 80’s when all your mates are behind you watching you playing and saying “get the rocket launcher get the rocket launcher”.
I shout "NOTHING IS OVER! NOTHING!" while playing.
Great classic!
I loved this arcade game, although I could never rescue the prisoners :(
I'm crying right now. So many memories!
Thus, the enemy is defeated by a single green beret shanking everyone
Funny, I don't remember this being called Green Beret. I remember it being called Rush'n Attack
When this came out it was the nuts..
Well done, soldier! From 1 Rush N' Attack veteran to another, Great job!
This guy's Big Boss father
I got this with I got this with my NES that came with Mario. This was my all-time favorite game as a kid. Back then it was called Russian attack
a REAL classic of the 80s
I always found it hilarious that a game about green berets had the French national anthem in it!
One of my favorites games! I loved it!
An Old School Mid-80s Staple.
Classic Game.

I like to think that this is a Rambo prequel. The green beret is Col. Trautman.
I think only like 5% of the players actually finished all missions back in the day :)
You said it

The 8 people who downvoted this must be on Putin's payroll.
nyet! capitalist dog!
The original name for this game is actually called 'Russian Attack.'
This has got nothing to do with Hollywood vs America.
I'll never forget when I came to the Russian festival; at Harvey West Park, back then in October 2nd, 2002.
I know this game as Rush"N"Attack.
Jacoblonewolf same. I had this on my gameboy.

Triad Samurai I’m pretty sure the game you’re thinking of is “Stratovox” (1980), also known as “Speak & Rescue.”
a very great arcade game which i love 2 play
Saudade!!joguei muito esse jogo.
It's hilarious that over 95% of the enemies make no attempt to fire what gun they have in hand.
There must be a bullet shortage. That would explain why poor old Green Beret has to take on the entire Soviet army with just a knife.
I used to play this with c64.
Oh, What a perfect Speedrun!!
This game has a Rambo (3) vibe going on.
I can imagine Rambo tearing shit up in North Korea!
Офигеть, на 3:50 видно как кинолог показывает пальцем на ГГ, типо даёт псам команду Взять! 😳
like your style, pretty aggressive
Brilliant play

Marcelo Crivella chega na Fase Final, e bate os Recordes do ano 1985?
This game used 2 b in my local Chinese. spent hours in there
Oh girl oh brother; am I so glad that the Berlin Wall came down, back then in 1989.
This was 8 years; right long before the 'South Park' series came about, when they got started sometime in March 1997.
I'm 99% sure that the hero of this game is nothing more, nothing less, than SOLID SNAKE FROM METAL GEAR!
Probably Chicken Fox, Solid Snake wasn't around in the 80s.

So the NES version were more friendly for children? There is no flame thrower in NES version.
daveshen0880 that is correct. Too violent, they made an “invincibility Star.”
This VG (video game) was made when; Russia was still under Soviet Communism.
@@Tigerman1138 Most of us fellow stone Atheist Americans; don't have a clue that, Magog is a biblical word for Russia.

I'm still going to remember the time when the king's kids; they had to go all the way over to Russia, back then sometime in 1978.
Was this the same as Rush N Attack?
Green Beret was the Japanese name for that game.
This was also called Russian attack

Well, they are both from Konami.

The correct name for this Arcade Game is "Rush 'N Attack".
Rush N Attack is the NES version. Green Beret is the Arcade verison.
