Rush'n Attack, originally released in Japan and Europe as Green Beret, is a run and gun arcade game released by Konami in 1985. Rush'n Attack is remembered for its Cold War setting (the title is a play on "Russian attack") and its reliance on the player using a knife to dispatch enemies. This must be a Japan or Europe emulation. In the United States, Green Beret was a John Wayne movie.
Played this game to death on the good'ol C64. One of the best conversions on the system. Same goes for the Famicom Disk version. It is near perfect.
It always kind of made me laugh at how crappy Konami's arcade hardware was until the board thst powered TMNT, yet they were always so awesome on home consoles. Just compare this game to Wonderboy or Space Harrier, both from the same year! Same could be said of comparing Crime Fight and Final Fight. They used to be side by side at my local Timezone and it looked pathetic graphically next to Final Fight.
I like to think that this is a Rambo prequel. The green beret is Col. Trautman.

It's hilarious that over 95% of the enemies make no attempt to fire what gun they have in hand.
There must be a bullet shortage. That would explain why poor old Green Beret has to take on the entire Soviet army with just a knife.

Bien,pero está jugado en nivel easy,se nota porque salen 2 soldados de frente,y en normal salen 3,yo lo jugué en normal y tambien lo terminé sin perder,fijate en mi canal en videos subidos,saludos.

The sprites are sharper here, but I kinda think the C64 version beats the arcade version shown here graphically and musically... graphics for C64 version are more abstract and "artistic", if that makes any sense (and of course the SID chip on the C64 makes sweet sweet dreamy sounds, as everyone knows)

The correct name for this Arcade Game is "Rush 'N Attack".
Rush N Attack is the NES version. Green Beret is the Arcade verison.
