Very wonderful video! I am excited and pleased to see so many different types of materials used. The applications are totally amazing!! Thank you Chris for this look into the future. Can't wait to see whats next! Rich
#5 was impressive, great colors! Was just missing some finishing touches.. like a glossy or semi-glossy varnish on some of the fruits.. namely the mango.
Hello! I just wanted to let you know about a popular video that has used a portion of your video (this one ua-cam.com/video/9D749wZSlb0/v-deo.html) in theirs (ua-cam.com/video/qTHqPB0s8BY/v-deo.html @ 40 seconds). They have not credited you in their video or discoption. I know how hard you work to bring us amazing visuals in your videos and I would hate to see people using your work without permission.
+wondertwins Thanks greatly for this. I have posted on the video asking them to include an annotation link and a video description link. It really is not on for people to steal content in this manner.
Great video! I can hardly wait to buy a 3D printer in 3 or maybe 2 years :D What are you predicting, how long will it take until mortals can buy 3D printer? Is there serbian translation of any of your books? Greetings from Belgrade!
+Borisav Živanović Greetings! Pre-assembled 3D printers can now be purchased from about 400 US dollars upwards (eg the Printrbot and XYZ models), although they still take skill and patience to use. But, especially with new composite materials, such printers can produce great prints. Prices will also continue to fall. I would expect consumer 3D printers in the $100 to $200 price bracket in 2-3 years. Sadly none of my books are translated into serbian -- so far they have only been published in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and (forthcoming) Thai. But with my 11th book published in November, I will again be looking for translation partners, so maybe things will change! :)
+Borisav Živanović Yes, I am sure that 3D printing -- and more importantly 3D modelling and 3D file manipulation -- will be taught in schools at many levels. Only this week I gave a talk at a school that is already using a 3D printer and a CNC laser cutter in design classes . . .
+ExplainingTheFuture Sadly, in Serbian school system system subjects like "IT education" are outdated (kids learn not to swear on social media and how to connect to dial up). Kids have so much potential, 3 year old can open and close apps he wants, 5 year old can use computer to play games and music...
Borisav Živanović Across the world education systems are struggling to keep up with the potential of technology -- which is partly why, after 25 years, I am about to leave the education sector. But the good news is that we can all learn a great deal from online resources like UA-cam. There is so much great educational content out there that anybody with an Internet connection and a lust for knowledge can forge ahead and fulfill their potential regardless of formal educational systems . . .
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I AM AN INDEPENDANT FILM MAKER, VERY TOUGH FIELD TO MAKE $$$ AT. I USE COREL VIDEO STUDIO X9 ULTIMATE. I WISH CORE HAD BETTER SUPPORT. KEITH KUHN GREAT SOFTWARE THOUGH
Hi , wonder if you could help me , i am looking for my first 3d printer, i am on a budget , im into model rc flying and have seen a product called the malyan 3d printer on the hobbyking website for £359 , do you now anything about this product that can help ? or any advice on printers at the same price would be great ! many thanks Scott
+Scott Thompson I've not come across the Malyan 3D printer, though it clearly is very well priced. In this bracket you also have the XYZ Davinci Junior, and the Printrbot Play. Both are good performers for the money, with the Printrbot offering more possibilities to experiment and tinker. Sorry I can't help more with the Malyan. You are not going to get perfection at this price, but if you are prepared to put in some effort, you should be able to make decent parts. Good Luck!
Thank you so much , and I shall keep an eye on the hobbyking website and see what other customers have to say about it , and I shall let you now if I do go for it how it runs , thanks again , Scott .
Ryan Mayfield I will do some kind of 3D printer / printing review in December. Not quite sure exactly what yet, as the list of the top printers is getting very difficult due to the wide range of printers entering the market, and the wide price variance. But I'll return to personal 3D printers on this channel soon! :)
It depends on which printer and technology is used! :) Industrial continuous production 3D printing technologies -- such as Figure 4 from 3D Systems -- are starting to allow mass production digital manufacturing.
Thanks a lot for the reply and introducing Figure 4 from 3D Systems. But the only problem is I am looking for a 3D printer for home use and I think Figure 4 is not suitable for this purpose.
+Nikel87 don't get me wrong,3d printers are the future but for now it is not practical for at home. in a factory yes,to make a proto type and stuf like that.
Excellent thanks. Funny I’ve been searching for 3D printing videos and this popped up. I think I remember it from when it was released. 👋
Thanks for the mention Christopher!
The future is already there ! Fukkin awsome
The Alien and ship were awesome. the ship reminded me of the Sulaco actually.
Very wonderful video! I am excited and pleased to see so many different types of materials used. The applications are totally amazing!! Thank you Chris for this look into the future. Can't wait to see whats next!
Rich
+MrMoonpie001 Thanks Rich. :)
Hi Chris. Have you done one of these top 10 prints for 2018 yet? It would be very useful to compare how far the technology has come.
We are getting there ladies and gents the future is now😎
The color of the alien head remember me freezer
#5 was impressive, great colors! Was just missing some finishing touches.. like a glossy or semi-glossy varnish on some of the fruits.. namely the mango.
+Advection357 Yes, they can only do matte colors. But the printouts are very impressive.
"Very realistic fruit"
My only criticism
is the alien head for sale
nice ,my hero +James Bruton
+Daan Schuurmans Yes, James Bruton is really cool -- meeting him was my highlight of the TCT Show. :)

ExplainingTheFuture :) What do you think, will 3D printing ever be subject in elementary school?
+Borisav Živanović Yes, I am sure that 3D printing -- and more importantly 3D modelling and 3D file manipulation -- will be taught in schools at many levels. Only this week I gave a talk at a school that is already using a 3D printer and a CNC laser cutter in design classes . . .

+POVadventure Agreed -- it is really cool! :)
+POVadventure The Models of James are awesome, loock at the BB8 Build.
+Jens Teichmann Yesss, the 3rd version is progressing amazingly well!

Nice going James.
The Alien is NO.1,I think.

+Edwin Jackson It is most certainly Bruton! And his work is excellent. :)
Big thumbs up for no. One

wow....is there anything you cant do? ....and why hasn't a major TV company snapped you up?
good video but hate the intro and animations.
👍😎
3D Print is too slow to be used. The time taken to 3D print an object is unacceptable.
It depends on which printer and technology is used! :) Industrial continuous production 3D printing technologies -- such as Figure 4 from 3D Systems -- are starting to allow mass production digital manufacturing.

Yes, for home use Figure 4 is not suitable! :) Home printing is still pretty slow, regardless of which printer you choose.
nuuuuuuuuuul
this video makes me want to barf.
a fwee dee pwint
Talk too much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yay more plastic waste!
we don't need this
+rob robson Yes we do.
+Nikel87 why? it does do nothing but taking space.
let them make a transporter like in star trek, thats what we need.
Well, this is just for show.
+Nikel87 don't get me wrong,3d printers are the future but for now it is not practical for at home.
in a factory yes,to make a proto type and stuf like that.
rob robson
Really?
I'm sitting in my home and my 3d-printer is about 10 feet from me and I make a lot of stuff with it that I use at home.
