Kenny Miller done well beyond that age. David Weir and so on. It does happen and I have hopes for Defoe. Will get at least a good six months out of him, hopefully longer if he performs or doesn't get a recall down south.

Tom Hartland but unfortunately he wasnt. Yes he was a great player part of a great team but as a player he was not even close to gerrard. Gerrard could do everything play any position and excel where as scholes playing left mid for england was atrocious
