\label should be placed after the \caption otherwise it will identify the section number which is 2.1 in your case

for the latest version of Mactex 4.44, the parameters of placing a table become all small cases. The capital parameter doesn't work any more. Like [H] represented "placed here ( current position)" now becomes "[h]" in the video if you want to follow the video for your essay.
