كان الرجل يأتي بكل ماله
صدقة إلى النبي صرة
Once a man put all his money in a money
pouch and gave it to Prophet Muhammad.
قال له النبي شو خليت
لنفسك وعيالك؟
The Prophet asked him: "What did
you leave for yourself and your family?"
ما في شيء
يردها له مرتين ثلاث
The man answered: "Nothing."
He tried three times to give it
حتى يقول آخر مرة
to the Prophet but each time the Prophet
returned the money back to him.
ردها له بقوة
The last time, he threw it at the man.
ولو أصابته لأوجعته
Had it hit him, it would have hurt him.
The Prophet said: "How come you come
وقال: ”يأتني أحدكم بكل ماله
وبعدين يترك نفسه
في فقر وحاجة؟"
to me with your money causing yourself
and family to suffer from poverty?" God says:
هاد الله قال
والذين إذا أنفقوا
هون أنفقتم مطلق التوصيل
"والذين إذا أنفقوا لم يسرفوا ولم يقتروا”
And those, who, when they spend, "
are neither extravagant nor niggardly…"
في صرفك على بيتك
على لبسك على أكلك وشربك
You have to be frugal when you spend money
on your family, clothes, food, drink, transport and
على ركبك على بناء بيتك
building your house. Islam is the religion
of wisdom. So you have to be wise
بدوه تكون حكيم والحكمة من الإسلام
when you spend your money on your car,
على سيارتك على سفرك
على حضرك في حربك في سلمك.
travels, during wartime and peacetime. God says:
”ولا تجعل يدك مغلولة
إلى عنقك ولا تبسطها كل البسط”
"Do not be so tight-fisted, for you will
be blameworthy; nor so open-handed,…"
البسط ولو في سبيل الخير
فتقعد ملوما
هي اسمها الحكمة
هنييك مطلق هون مقيد
Don't be open-handed even when you spend
money on good causes. This is wisdom.
هنييك عام وهون خاص
هنييك مبهم وهون مبين.
”ومن يؤتى الحكمة فقد أوتي خيرا كثيرا”
God says: "And whoever is granted wisdom
is certainly blessed with a great privilege."
هذه الآيات الأخيرة
حول الترف والانفاق
These verses in the chapter of "Sheba"
which talk about opulence, spending
والإيمان
والعمل الصالح
خلاصة ما مضى من سورة سبأ
money, faith and good deeds summarize
the verses which came before them in which
بعد ما الله ذكر داود وسليمان
وسبأ من كفر بنعم الله
كيف أزالها الله عنه
God mentioned Prophets David and Solomon
and Sheba and how He removed His favors from
ومن شكر نعم الله كيف زاده الله منها.
those who were ungrateful to Him while He
increased them to those who were grateful to Him.
هون على أساس
إذا الله أنعم عليك
لا تنغر بإقبال نعم الله عز وجل
The lesson learnt is that if the Almighty
God bestows His favors on you, don’t be deceived
وما تغر بحياتك الدنيا
لا بمالها ولا بجاهها ولا بشبابها
ولا بصحتها ولا بالحياة
بينما أنت على وجه الأرض.
by your money or status, youth
or health while you are living on earth.
هلق واحد قلبت به السيارة
صدم سيارة مات
على بكرا لما طلع من البيت
Imagine that someone's car flipped over
or had a car accident and died.
ولبس الطقم ومعزوم اليوم على الغداء
عزيمة ثقيلة
When he got out of his house wearing a suit
because he was invited to a luxurious dinner,
مفكر أنوا بده يرجع جنازة على البيت
did he think that he would be brought back
home in a coffin on the same day?
فشوا يدرينا يا ابني
متى ما واحد نام.
You never know. Death is imminent.
جاء أبوه بدوا يفقه من أصدقائنا
مهندس جاء أخوا بده يفقه
A friend of mine had a son who was an engineer.
His brother wanted to wake him up in the morning,
ما رد عليه.
ظن أنه نائم تركه نصف ساعة
but that engineer didn't respond.
His brother thought that he was asleep.
ساعة عند على بكرا قوم.
ظنه عم يمزح معه.
He came in an hour to wake him up again.
He thought that he was joking with him.
سحب لحاف عنه ما تحرك
حركه ما تحرك وإذ مسلمها.
He pulled the quilt off him, but his brother
didn't move. He was dead.
قديش عمره؟
25 سنة.
يعني إذا أنت نفدت منها سيدنا عزرائيل
He was 25 years old. If you run away
from the trap of Azrael, the Angel of Death,
بس له هي هل الفخ؟
له 50 ألف فخ
thinking that you can escape from him, you are wrong because he has thousands of inescapable traps.
كل فخ
شكل.
واحد أكلة قطائف
بروح بأكلة كنافة ينزل بالقشطة
ويكون معه ضيق بالشرايين
وقلة تروية وينزل بالأدهان
Some people may die because they overeat
creamy sweets or fatty food which clog
ويسلخ دمه يمتلئ دهن
يسد له شرايينه
وما تشوف إلا سلت.
their arteries and cause them death eventually.
ما في شيء على الدركسيون
وقف قدام باب بيته
A twenty-five year young man died on
the steering wheel while he was waiting in
حس بالظاهر شيء زمر لهم
his car in front of his house for
his family members to come down.
بين ما نزلوا كان مسلمها فوق الدركسيون
He felt that there was something wrong in his chest.
So, he honked at them to come down.
قدام بيته.
شب عمر 35 سنة.
When they came down,
they found him dead.
الله يا ابني اكثروا من ذكر الله
وتوبوا إلى الله
Do dhikr of God abundantly
and turn to Him in repentance.
