I've a question? The 'yellow painted island' on city streets. I've noticed many entitled, impatient and reckless drivers in their cars veering out of the traffic they are in and then speeding down these stripped, sideways and solid yellow lines to avoid waiting just to get to the left turning lane at the next light. Is it legal for cars from a block away to drive it as if its an 'extended' turning lane in an attempt to quickly get to the end just so than can obviously avoid waiting?
