Thanks Ruan, this tutorial was excellently produced and explained. I have one query before I attempt to implement it; I will be using Windows and Powerpoint, how different will it be using the latter rather than Keypoint?
You can do animations in PowerPoint by selecting the draw tool to draw your map route and then right click on the route and select animate styles and then select replay from the drop down menu. You can also do some basic editing to the line type and colour and change the animation duration. It’s not as good as MacBook but it can be done, hope this helps!

You say this can also be done in Power Point. I did not see matching features for creating the points in that program. Do you have another video describing the process in Power Point?
You can do animations in power point by using the draw tool to draw the route and then right clilck on your route and select animate styles…and then select replay from the drop down menu. Hope this helps!

I didn’t know keynote could do this. Is there way to change the arrow head with an icon of a car or a van ?
This is what I am looking for but I think this is only for Apple products. Any other program that can do this for Windows??
