that machine is fancy do you have to calibrate it or does it do it all by it self

Yes its a very good machine.
And yes it needs calibration once per month but its not complicated, you can do it in 2 minutes.

For clip clip :
_ choose clip, clip option
_ move the laser to the edge of your rim.
_ press the foot pedal only once (make sure you hear the bip)
_ then lower the hood
The machine will automatically measure the outside edge of your rim.
When you want to put weights on, make sure you doing the one is green (not yellow).
The press servo for other side of your rim (if it asked for weight).
