Happy you like your new wheelchair. It looks so much better than your older wheelchair. The style is more updated look and easier to use. Have fun Ryder playing and discovering all the stuff you can do with your new wheelchair.👍👍☺☺☺
Wow what a difference! I've been in a TiLite ZRA for 5 years and love it. I'm in the process of getting another. Like you I need the seat width smaller. Great video!!
I'm a t10 complete. So I need a bit more upper back support. I have a quicker gpv. Yes, it's a bit heavy and a tad big. It works for me perfectly going on 20 years. Yes, I'm tough on it. The best thing I did and I'm forever grateful is when I got a set of spinergy rims and tires. Turned my chair into a sports car. The one thing I love but I see others not using is arm rests. I tried not using them for a day and literally almost fell out of my chair 20 times. I use them for all sorts of things so I stick with them. Hope your chair Carrie's you well for the next 5 years. At my age I think my 20 year old chair will outlast me !
Grats on the new chair dude! I love the TiLites! I am on my 2nd TR- model. My current one is the TRc. I like it because it even more customizable than the Aero that you got, they literally take every single measurement from you. Sadly, I know all too well the slow process of getting a new chair. On top of the fact that my insurance company at the time was TERRIBLE at communication, my chair was denied at least 3 times. Mainly from the fact that I was trying to get a SmartDrive as well. But that has been a lifesaver, because, after being in the chair for 25 years, my shoulders are getting terrible. Took me 3 years to get this one. And it's almost time to start the process again. Congrats again! Looks awesome.
very beautiful chair, beautiful color. It seems light, easy to handle, and above all your legs are well locked. nothing is more unpleasant than our legs swinging in front of us. I have to tie them up. I live in France, I am incomplete paraplegic level T12 and I have a Kushall Champion wheelchair
Super nice! Nice colour too! Looks so much lighter and fits you so much better!!! Those tapered forks look badass and should help your legs feel way more stable. Bet you're not gonna miss those old backrest canes sticking in your ribs either lol I'm going to trial that j2 backrest it looks amazing! (I'm T11) happy trails and look forward to your next video 🤗
@@wheelchairryder7278 Hi Wheelchair Ryder Crosby, how are you doing my friend? Hope you’re doing well brother? Glad to see you on the video smiling. Hey Ryder Crosby, nice new wheelchair. Hope your legs feel more stable. I am looking forward to seeing your next video. God bless you Ryder, take care! Nice colour on your wheelchair . It looks nice and light. Nice to see you doing your wheelie. Hope you have a great week! Best friends as always from PaulLaw.
I'm a T11 complete paraplegic, do you have core stability? Because I tried a low backrest, and since I don't have core stability I can't sit up on my own.
I just got the quickie q7r with smart drive power assist and love it! My daughters picked hot pink for me and I added green anodizing lol its sweet looking and super comfortable compared to my old chair I had a little over 5 years
Double tube frames are more rigid which helps with keeping the frame from twisting when pushing hard and that keeps the back wheels on the ground better when your pushing while leaning forward
I got the same exact setup. I loved it at first because it was such a huge upgrade from my donor chair and then the first chair I bought when I was a brand new para but didn’t know anything about chairs ( I’m still a solid idiot. That’s why I’m watching videos. Trying to learn more lol) then when I was approved for Medicare. I ordered the QR7 and the smart drive. Loved the idea of the smart drive and played around with it for a while. It’s great for shopping and pushing a cart but wasn’t very practical for every day use. Then again I do t have shoulder problems. But I quickly started to hate the chair itself. It falls apart extremely fast. Within six months of being broke down to go in and out of the car. It looked like it was several years old. I’m constantly having to work on it. It shows your comment was a year ago, how is your chair holding up?
@Wheelchair Wolverine not too bad but I put loctite on every time I see a loose bolt. My biggest problem with it is the frame has too much flex so when I get going faster my front wheels shake. Next time go with a double tube frame, it's slightly heavier but won't have the flex this frame has. I've been in a chair for 33 years now and I gotta say the smart drive is a game changer for me! I don't use the watch tho as it either since movement when I don't want it too or just simply won't work at all so I use the buttons on my frame. U ever need any advice or have any questions feel free as I'm an open book! Take care
Hey, bub! What kind of chair is this? And where/ how did you get it custom made to fit so snuggly?? Hope this finds you well. Thanks for the videos, keep grinding, brother??
@@morgancalvi6675 I know especially like if you wear normal pants I'm into sweats and joggers for easy but not having enough leg to fill them without side guard they gets holes in them not to mention all the dirt also with that low of a back I wouldn't go with fold down just seems pointless you can keep your cushion in place while you load it save time, I have a higher back currently but in two years when I'm due im getting a much lower back
I didn’t even know side guards existed when I bought my first chair and then a year later when I was approved for Medicare and they paid for my current chair. I wear dress clothes a lot and started to notice how dirty my jackets and dress shirts were getting. Started doing research and found out they were a common product. I’ve been holding off, waiting on Medicare to approve my new one to get them in. But I’ll definitely never have another chair without them.
Deductible? In Canada, you seem to be on your own...so I bought my own...the Colours Spazz-G (I couldn't afford a TiLite.) Buying on your own gives such a sense of feeling free though. No one to answer to and no strings attached. Keep in mind for those on Medicaid or Medi-Cal...you have to pay them back once you turn 55--the Estate Recovery Plan. No side guards would be a deal breaker for me and I bet if you had them, you'd never turn back.
