I’m at the final stages of getting an established franchise from an absentee owner. It’s been open for nine years and has an established staff. I’m use to getting up early (School Bus Driver) and staying late and never call off work. My plan is to work hard on the B2B side while the staff keeps working on the retail side. My why is building generational wealth for my kids. I first considered franchises after taking an online personality test and it suggested franchising for my personality. Then I started watching your videos.
I love your Journey! Keep it up. 👍 And if you need any help with our resources on your journey, you can always check out Franchiseempire.com, as we update it constantly with free resources.
If you have a strong enough "why," you will figure-out how. That is not true. Most new businesses fail. Depending on the industry, that failure rate is as high as 90%. Starting a business is easy. Making it profitable/successful, is extremely hard. It does not matter how "strong your why is." Working for someone else, like the defense contractor, is much safer than trying to start your own business. Growth is limited, but you are not risking anything...now loan, no risk of bankruptcy, you get a steady paycheck... I've tried to start four businesses. They all failed. Two of those businesses involved paying a successful person to mentor me and teach me. Those two ventures were the biggest failures. I would have earned exponentially more, if I had worked for minimum wage. BUT, I absolutely hate working for other people. But so far, starting my own business has not worked.

@TariqJohnson You're right some franchise companies aren't publicly traded. But, Wendy's is a company I'm looking to buy some shares in. It pays a 5% dividend currently and they are using AI along with robotics to increase the efficiency of the business. Also, Wendy's is the 2nd largest Burger franchise business after McDonald's with a growing international presence. A nice stock for some income and potential growth.
I do not have any problems following a system. In fact, it is a good thing since I will not have to figure it all by myself. As long as my freedom as an entrepreneur does not get compromised I am ok to follow a proven template that has worked for several other franchisees before me. After reading my above statement, do you think I should own a franchise?
I think it could be a great path for you. The key is to find the right with the right culture, and environment that aligns with your goals. You will not be able to do whatever you want in a franchise, but I don’t think that’s freedom being compromised. It helps you stay focused.
@@TariqJohnson Yes I agree. If I wanna do whatever I want then I need to open my own business which I do not want to. These are some pretty useful insights. Thanks a lot.

Buy the stock of the franchise, that pays a dividend. Buy on the dips.
Most franchises are not public companies.

When you were making high 6 figures, what were you doing at the time for that income?
Financial advising
Tariq what do you think about a dog daycare/grooming/boarding business?
I have a lot of random thoughts, but do you have a more specific question?
I own one and am looking to pivot a TON of work, low overhead though
Bro added 25k for 2 years of inflation 😂 mute this man
In this day and age, I would never buy a franchise
