Project - Condensation perpetually builds up. Even if u drain it, there will ALWAYS be buildup. Mike Jones was correct, if u dont have one, u NEED one. U might get away with not using one a few times but when that condensation hits, u can blow off the tip or entire nozzle.
I put one of those 200cc motors on my racing mower. I used the lever that raises the blades up and down as my shifter.. instead of using a clutch pedal I used a handlebar lever. So I pull the clutch in with my hand and shift it forward/backwards as I’m banging them gears!! Love the vids!!
On this build, could Issac please do a tutorial on basic wiring please? How to move the electric starts, what wires what on motors like these, and how to run batteries and lights and such? I've seen all yer vids and yas always say, "Ike's gonna wire it up.", and boom, they're wired up. Thanks guys.
love your videos and so does my daughter every time I watch one she asks if it's ike don't know why but she thinks he's the best she is 3 it's awesome walked inside to see she has stolen my phone and was watching the dragster build on the dyno keep it up guys
Oh boy get ready for some real fun, you guys are really moving now with content, can't wait for some real ike & John racing head to head this is awesome you guys are doing great!!
Always loved Lifan! Got a Lifan 150 in my moped right now....and this thing is a monster! This has got to be possibly my favorite project of yours, besides the Ducati and the Black Widow
I love how so much of your stuff is now metalflake green. When does the strip open for the season? I love the Rail Kart. Cool project for the meantime though, should be a riot.
In 1983 put a 125 Suzuki RM dirt bike motor on my bob cat go cart. Ran it on a private track open series. It was awesome. On the quarter mile it ran 107 mph. I tried my 250 Yamaha yz on it but I couldn't get the front end to stay down on turns and blew the aluminium rims off the drive axle.
That strange looking ruler is for mixing paint and other stuff that has a mixing ratio. Let's say it's 2:1, so you put it in a container and find a scale that is marked as 2:1. Then you pour in the first chemical to a line (let's say it's "3") and pour the next thing up to the line to the right marked "3". Looks like the one you have is a 100:50:40 (30?) Sikkens made for their primer with scales being primer:hardener:reducer respectively. As for the plasma cutter, as others have mentioned a moisture trap is a must. On top of that the torch that usually comes with those is really tiny and is perfect for sheet metal and not much else. You an get a bigger torch for about $50 and that would make a world of difference. Make sure you get some guide wheels or at least one of those guide frames for the torch as well because the tip should not touch the surface while cutting. There are torches where you can just drag it on the surface, but they are more expensive.
I’m so glad the 9 reasons kart is back I look forward to my notification that either of you has added a video. I’m in the middle of an older coyote bullet kart build thanks to this kart and I can’t wait to finish it! This is just the push I need to move faster keep up the good work!!!
Haha! I love your rooster!!! I had a bantam japanese rooster who would attack me any chance he got, and one day i tripped over and he jumped on me and bit my lip and after that i'm always more cautious around them too! Love this new 5 speed build!! keep up the awesome work guys love every video
Yes That's what it is~It is made by "Sickens" for their line of paint~I had one in 1993 when I was "Renegade Truck Conversions" just south of Chicago~I love watching Ike & John~I just discoverd you guys this morning and watched 7 videos~I subscribed and am looking forward to a lot of great videos~Thanks guys keep up the good work
John is on point with what Isaac had there. Its a measuring stick for volume. We have something similar for measuring out mixtures of resins or 2 part epoxy paint were I work. That said after you do it two or three times you can just wing it and get pretty darn close without it.
if the pur15 doesn't work try baking soda and superglue, it's how they repair combat helicopter blades in combat (they are carbon fiber material) put superglue on cracks heavy place baking soda over super glue sorta mix it together let it dry. it will set up harder than fiberglass patch, sort turns into carbon fiber without the fibers. Used it on my hood for my drag car, repaired 5 big cracks and it is back on my car. best fiberglass repair out there. and just as strong as new
+CarsandCameras That "stick" is the OG way of measuring out paint mixes(different paints to achieve specific colors+thinners etc) for Air guns. Now a days the marking are just on the side of the "mixing cups" to simplify and save time.
XD what can I say ..it is something I have used personally, and when I saw it being used as apart of the cart I was just like WOW......cause you can't find them often times in "modern" pain shops(at least where I live)
I saw a video about putting automatic transmission fluid on faded paint to give it a nice shine. Shouldn't leave much of an oily residue either. You should try it on that royal purple paint.
bought one of those cheap plasmacutters too , a cut 50 i think it was , had the regulator and watertrap included it IS scratch start the stick ike was holding is a 2 pack paint measuring stick , you put it in the paintcup and add paint till a certasn number on the first bar thinner up to the same number on the second bar and hardener to the same number on the thirth bar prolly comes from the days that the paints where oil / thinner based nowadays there water based and prolly need a different measuring stick
I had a dirtfarmer show me the welding a nut.I haven't touched a not so easyout since.500 is not bad for motor &trans.Should be a fun cart for a longtime.
i know this is an older video but i gotta tell you i bought the same plasma cutter and yes turn the air down. It is a world of difference when the pressure is lower. too much pressure actually breaks the arc and cools off the slag too quick. once i turned the pressure way down below the poin i thought would be too little, the cuts were nicer and easier too make.
I was gonna paint my 55 f*100 dark purple but my mom sold it on me ...love the show keep it up...I'd like to see a 670cc drag bike with a small 8in. Slick stretched dual torque converter w/ jack shaft drive like the colt ....B kool guys , from Delaware
that " measuring metal stick " is actually a ruler for blue prints. most prints are at a 3/8-3 feet scale and that is the black striped part so you can quickly count the 3/8 black marks and add up 3,6,9,12 etc feet on a print to get the true measurement off a 1/4 scale blue print
15:13 That stick is a paint mixing stick and the numbers and lines are the ratios (examples 1:12:14:1) that you fill 2-3 part paints and clear coat up to depending on how much you want to mix.
i love the videos and the carts you make , but it hurts my back and my knees watching you guys kneeling on the floor when you could have a lift and get it off the floor !!! keep it up dudes
If it were me, I would reinforce those flanges at the ends of the frame up front, where the spindles attach. Can't wait to see how this one turns out! :)
Your plasma cutter needs a filter-drier on its air line. Moist air will turn to steam in the arc and make it pop and spit.
Mike Jones
That’s crap then, mine came with it already installed.
Mike Jones just get the water out of the compressor
Or too high of pressure
Project - Condensation perpetually builds up. Even if u drain it, there will ALWAYS be buildup. Mike Jones was correct, if u dont have one, u NEED one. U might get away with not using one a few times but when that condensation hits, u can blow off the tip or entire nozzle.
i know this is old vid, but does the cfm on the compressor out run the cfm you need for the plasma? i learned, my pancake compressor was NOT enough
Now that you're building one, there should be a race between RedBeard'sGarage, BoostedBois, and you guys, all with your shifter karts.
Don't forget grind hard plumbing co
@Cameron Keillor someone always has to gap the rest or it wouldn't even be interesting 😂 winning is winning whether it's by an inch or a mile
15:00 its a paint ratio stick. Use it to measure your ratios of paint/hardener and thinners. Still use these quite often
"Only" 16HP, but it should be very quick!
CarsandCameras 굿gooooooooood
Ur mum gay lol
250cc 2-stroke next time.
16hp is plenty enough i think maybe 20 hp would be crazy
Not "next time"... 2 Stroke EVERY TIME. Braaaaap...!!!
I had to stop the video to comment on how slick that door opening transition was at 10:55. Holy cow good stuff.
16hp on a kart like that with a 5 speed will rip like no other
oh yea, because shifter karts with 50+hp's and 6-speed don't exist lmao
It does, I hit 90kmh with mine and could still go faster xD
Unless u talking about the Ducati one sitting in the corner of the garage lol
Or any other pro shifter kart
I’m building a kart atm with a Kawasaki ninja 250 engine. 36hp and a weight of 90kg so far.
That door transition tho 👌
Not gunna lie it tripped me out a bit. So good
you are the transition king
madz bush thought i was the only one who noticed.
god damn so true
it broke my brain for a second
The Crusher Camaro of Cars and Cameras...I love it!!!
10:58 MIND BLOWN
love your videos and so does my daughter every time I watch one she asks if it's ike don't know why but she thinks he's the best she is 3 it's awesome walked inside to see she has stolen my phone and was watching the dragster build on the dyno keep it up guys
Derrick Reddick Adorable!!
Buy her a shifter.
That rooster probably thinks your a big competitive rooster in the yard with those huge red ear muffs on.
I'm crying 🤣🤣🤣
Yeh lol
This is going to be a killer cart! Side note for John. I feel like you could have a killer beard dude. Let's see it!!
Put the chicken on it, call it the the AMERICAN EGGSPRESS
Oh boy get ready for some real fun, you guys are really moving now with content, can't wait for some real ike & John racing head to head this is awesome you guys are doing great!!
10:58 That was the coolest scene change ive ever seen
Umm... Why is this not trending on UA-cam?
Always loved Lifan! Got a Lifan 150 in my moped right now....and this thing is a monster! This has got to be possibly my favorite project of yours, besides the Ducati and the Black Widow
That cut in the plate y’all made is called a bevel. Sweet videos!
That’s why I like my anti seize on the nuts and bolts. I live close to the ocean and steel tends to rust quickly.
YAAAAAAYYYYYYY ITS ABOUT TIME!!!!!! IM SO EXCITED!
I have a cheap lotos plasma cutter, have actually had good luck with it over the years and it came with a regulator.
I have one, too. They have the air pressure to hi.
Yup, I've been beating up my Lotos 520D, which does plasma, tig, and stick for about a year and a half and have no real complaints.
shynsly01, is that an AC/DC tig, or just DC?
Love it the purple cart is back
Great build choice, can't wait to see it running. keep up the good work. Definitely my favorite cart channel.
I love how so much of your stuff is now metalflake green. When does the strip open for the season? I love the Rail Kart.

Pretty cool project! I am surprised you didn't straighten the axle on that press. Future jackshaft material.
That lawmower is still my favorite build yet. Hope you all get it running soon
Nothing like a good old go kart build!
I’m so glad the 9 reasons kart is back I look forward to my notification that either of you has added a video. I’m in the middle of an older coyote bullet kart build thanks to this kart and I can’t wait to finish it! This is just the push I need to move faster keep up the good work!!!
16hp doesn't sound like that much but in a go kart that's a lot.
Can't wait to see this thing fly.
Skrew it, let's do it! Nice one liner man.. should be on a t-shirt, and I want a free one when you make them😎
I'm so glad that you guys are going back to the old go karts I miss the go kart videos!!!!!!!
Loved the crusher Comaro reference
that transition tho, damn dude, gettin smooth as fuck.
That transition at 10:58 really tripped me out haha
Lol you got me with that transition scene with the door!! 👌🏻😅
They are paint mixing sticks. Older basecoat clear coat and hardener ratios. Great cart build.
Haha! I love your rooster!!! I had a bantam japanese rooster who would attack me any chance he got, and one day i tripped over and he jumped on me and bit my lip and after that i'm always more cautious around them too! Love this new 5 speed build!! keep up the awesome work guys love every video
Man this thing is going to be faster than the drag kart!
The stick is a measurement tool for paint
Cable ties Fix everything, thats exactly what that is. They arent really used much anymore, now the mixing cups have marking right on them.
FireAndGasoline yeah pretty much
From a time when things weren't all disposable, lol.
I was checking comments before I made this same comment
Yes That's what it is~It is made by "Sickens" for their line of paint~I had one in 1993 when I was "Renegade Truck Conversions" just south of Chicago~I love watching Ike & John~I just discoverd you guys this morning and watched 7 videos~I subscribed and am looking forward to a lot of great videos~Thanks guys keep up the good work
A buddy of mine made a 175cc air cooled shifter kart with a 6 speed. Pretty cool you guys managed to get more cc.
Here comes the rooster !!!! My dad had one when i was a teen and that bird viscous lol
John is on point with what Isaac had there. Its a measuring stick for volume. We have something similar for measuring out mixtures of resins or 2 part epoxy paint were I work. That said after you do it two or three times you can just wing it and get pretty darn close without it.
Its about time you guys are building a 5 speed kart!!!
Love the roadkill reference!!
Holy shit! That transition was so amazing.
"Its always something I've wanted to do, bang through the gears, in my go kart" making dreams a reality... love that bro keep it up!
Guys please paint that the same color and give the whole cart a huge refresh that would be soooo good
if the pur15 doesn't work try baking soda and superglue, it's how they repair combat helicopter blades in combat (they are carbon fiber material) put superglue on cracks heavy place baking soda over super glue sorta mix it together let it dry. it will set up harder than fiberglass patch, sort turns into carbon fiber without the fibers. That's some quality transition at 10:57
Super awesome video👍👍👍👍👍 going to be a sweet build can't wait to see it in action
That disk brake is mint. keep up the great work i love watching you guys
Good engineering skills dude impressed
Nice Crusher Camaro reference!
i love the sound of the welder
Bigger better engines on go carts designed for 6.5 hp. loving it!
That purple is mint
Can't wait to see the kart finished up! Also this is the only thing you'll be banging gears in since what happened with your miata lml sorry :P
damn stoked for this, the purple looks so good too. Steering wheel reminds me of the 80's turbo F1 cars too.
+CarsandCameras
That "stick" is the OG way of measuring out paint mixes(different paints to achieve specific colors+thinners etc) for Air guns.

shawnkiller90 finally someone else knew

Yessssssss been asking for something like this too! Always find a way to make me happy about the build
Ps ace hardware has a huge hill man selection.. and all you've gotta do is hand an employee the bolt and they'll pick it out of the crowd
Cars and cameras I just wanted to let u guys know that i love your vids, and hope we can meet sometime.
Red Beard is building a 200cc shifter at the same time. Lets see a C&C vs RBG coming up!!!
These guys living the dream!!build shit and test ride it all day?hell yea, sign me up!
Love this idea, wanna put this engine/trans on my street legal mb200, thanks for the video
bought one of those cheap plasmacutters too , a cut 50 i think it was , had the regulator and watertrap included it IS scratch start
the stick ike was holding is a 2 pack paint measuring stick , you put it in the paintcup and add paint till a certasn number on the first bar thinner up to the same number on the second bar and hardener to the same number on the thirth bar
prolly comes from the days that the paints where oil / thinner based nowadays there water based and prolly need a different measuring stick
Man you boys need a 2x72 belt grinder for fab work
I cannot wait for this build!! But I would also highly recommend wearing a respirator when sanding fiberglass!! That stuff is not fun in your lungs
Love your channel but was getting really bored of the usual predator and torque converter stuff. Love that you’re diversifying!
How about shifter and torque converter? That’s what I am doing on my racing mower
Love the roadkill reference
The "measuring stick thing " you guys found is for mixing 2 pack paints. You use it to measure how much hardener and reducer to add to the paint.
Y’all should get into some 2 strokes. High horsepower low weight
Nice RoadKill reference!
I had a dirtfarmer show me the welding a nut.I haven't touched a not so easyout since.500 is not bad for motor &trans.Should be a fun cart for a longtime.
I never knew y'all did these videos thats incredible
I would deffinately suggest getting it completely sand blasted and powdercoated to make it last longer as well as to inspect the frames for cracking.
the random measuring stick you found is a paint ratio stick. its used to make a good ratio of base to hardener.
Another great vid guys..
i know this is an older video but i gotta tell you i bought the same plasma cutter and yes turn the air down. It is a world of difference when the pressure is lower. too much pressure actually breaks the arc and cools off the slag too quick. once i turned the pressure way down below the poin i thought would be too little, the cuts were nicer and easier too make.
Can y’all do diesel go karts?
Rey Rey only if you unsubscribe from Logan paul
Diesel engines are too expensive...
KnightMight dude enough about that. That was a month ago. FORGET IT!
The problem with diesels and power sports is the rev range. Yes diesels have gobs of torque, but very limited range of speed. Not responsive enough
Hey guys, that metal measuring stick you found is just a simple Carpenters multi-point ruler or yardstick.
I was gonna paint my 55 f*100 dark purple but my mom sold it on me ...love the show keep it up...I'd like to see a 670cc drag bike with a small 8in. Slick stretched dual torque converter w/ jack shaft drive like the colt ....B kool guys , from Delaware

plum crazy is a pretty good looking purple.
I've been waiting for this kart to make a return it's easily the best kart you own 😀
If you love the color you could get it powder coated. Illusion purple is kinda similar
15:13 That stick is a paint mixing stick and the numbers and lines are the ratios (examples 1:1 2:1 4:1) that you fill 2-3 part paints and clear coat up to depending on how much you want to mix.
You guys are definitely DOING IT FOR DALE!
Christian Copher hell yeah brother! another cleetus fan?
rokkstar115 that’s right! I can’t wait to see those 16 bald eagles running thru a five speed!
Christian Copher cheap Chinese motor does NOT have ANY bald eagles, more like mildy upset pandas.
Da Ca +1
the dude very true lol
Hope to see you guys hit 500k subs this year. I’ve been subbed since 2014 I believe when you guys did the radio flyer rat rod
Got your back
You guys need a little intro vid for your channel. Great content!
Put a few layers of spray can clear coat on the purple and it should liven that color right up
the transition at 10:56 got me double taking
i love the videos and the carts you make , but it hurts my back and my knees watching you guys kneeling on the floor when you could have a lift and get it off the floor !!! keep it up dudes
If it were me, I would reinforce those flanges at the ends of the frame up front, where the spindles attach. Can't wait to see how this one turns out! :)
Made my day i had plan to build a shifter car type deal
King Maine type deal
