I was here several years ago. In the evening, we went on the Ghost Tour that started & ended here. One of the Ghost, kept saying my daughter’s name. That’s not at all scary 😱. Thanks for the video Jacob. We were just in St Augustine last Sunday.
I love the little history bites you share. Keep on doing you! ❤
went here on a little solo road trip a few years ago. really unique location it's an awesome experience.
The Skull laughing with you in it was a real hoot!! Both times I watched it!!! Your participation in ALL that cones along is one if your cookest chatacter traits!!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger!!! Hey to Jenny Penny!! We need a new video from her!!!
I love St. Augustine!!
Loved seeing the famous Carpetbagger dance in the dance room lol No matter how many of these you go through you always make them interesting and funny. 😊
Jacob: "I've heard of finger food, but that seems a bit much."
Me: The only time you can give someone the finger and not get in trouble. 😀
Tried to import picture. My son, along with many others, has done the human flag with arms out straight just holding by hands. To be fair, I am a woman and as a young woman I did it and held it for several minutes in the pose he used. Congrats to him at advanced age for holding it for a long time.
the skull laugh always makes me laughing 30:00 😆. Stay safe jacob on the way back home 🤗
It really is a fun Ripley's. We love how the museum fits around the preexisting building. And it is funny how you said it closes promptly at 5. We did not know that and were taking our time. We were like a 1/3 way through the museum and workers came and told us they closed in 20 minutes and we had to rush the rest of the way through.
Kudos to your UA-cam Channel, Jacob! 👍👍👍👍
Wow so awesome to day had a great time with you today 💕💕💕😊😊😊 thanks for taking us along 🤠😊🤠
Always love the visits to Ripley's! 👏👏
Hey Jacob! If you have time, I hope you could make it down to Stuart, Florida. Its about two hours south of Orlando. There's some cool stuff you can check out there. Like the Elliott Museum (There's an exhibit on Pharoh Tutemkamun atm), the Oceanigraphic Center (you can pet and feed stingrays), and there's also a small heritage center as well. Plus the county fair just started too! Love your videos!
Awesome video as always Jacob and be safe out there safe travels
Can you imagine cleaning all the exhibits?
Hi Jacob the carpetbagger I like your channel and vlogs and keep up the good work 😊👍
37:00 The Log House used to be a traveling exhibit (unless there are more than one.) I walked through it when I was a kid at a local county fair. I was literally just wondering what happened too it the other day!
Wish i knew you were in Saint Augustine. I would've swing by and say hello. I try watching your channel when i can. Keep up the great work.
What a cool place!! Thank you for sharing this!
Hello Jacob. You go to the greatest places all over the United States. I love all of your videos. Tell Jenny that I miss her videos.
Hi Jacob I love this ripleys As I love them all. Always something new to see. XX
This place looks great. I remember the trolley stopping by here but I haven't been to see it yet. Hope to someday.
that was a hell of an intro! thanks again CB
so thats where it went. ripley bought it. that log house use to travel with the fair long ago.
Went to the one in SF don’t even know if they still have it there anymore. This was fun! Thank you for sharing your adventures!!
I would definitely live in that redwood log house....so cool!!!!
I love the outer space like noise that plays . Also I wonder how they voiced the penny machine.
Another great museum. I just had my top teeth taken out. Maybe I need some crocodile teeth, lol. I always save your video to watch in the morning, so I'm always a day behind. Now I'm on might shift. I enjoy cooking breakfast with the Carpetbagger.
I like how Inspector gadget is in the thumbnail
The last time I went to Ripleys, it looked like a boat on the outside
How lucky you had just the right coins to get the second smashed penny!
I live here, this ripleys was the thing that made me move here :)
Really? I live here too but i dont visit a lot of the places especially downtown. Traffic is horrible and too crowded for me.
Enchanted = having or seeming to have a magical quality
I need to go to the Ripley's in Grand Prairie TX, it's been a long time since I've seen it.
You can ALSO USE DIMES for the PENNY MACHINES for a unique silver crushed coin.
Yeah go visit Venice Beach California where the German and Venice lives he'll take you out on a tour 😊
That seems like a fun place to visit. I've recently been to the one in Branson Missouri and after visiting a few Ripley's they tend to be repetitive unfortunately.
I went through this in about 1963!
Fur baring trout are found in the Great Lakes? I did not know that!
Used to live in Jacksonville, Florida and I went to st Augustine for my 50 th birthday with my husband before we moved to North Carolina. I did like ripleys there, but in my opinion the one in Tennessee is much better
No matter who you are, and no matter where you go...strange things are always out there: Believe It Or Not!
That David was at the 1964 Worlds Fair in New York City
Next time you’re in St Augustine, try and do the ghost and gravestone tour.
This video ive seen five days ago, it just recommended to me just now, this feels strange lol
Unless it’s recently changed, the reason that one closes early is it does ghost tours in the evenings. I can’t remember if it’s part of the ghost train tour, or if it’s a separate ticket. I think it’s separate, as they provide ghost hunting equipment
@@TheCarpetbagger next time you’re down here you should do the ghost tours. The little girls that haunt the lighthouse would adore you
Years ago BD (Before Disney) the St. Augustine Ripley's had a Magic Shop. My favorite St. Augustine attraction is still the Old Jail.
If you find yourself in FL again, there is a lovely park in White Springs Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park. If you stay at the park the ADA cabin is haunted.
i really enjoyed this Jacob.👍👍👍👍👍👍
You would really like the Pirates 🏴☠️ Museum, arrrgh.
That's bug eyes my uncle 😅
Shame, you had to rush through, it looks like great place.
Also LOVE the pirate shooting gallery!!
Honestly can't recall seeing a video where you visited the Ripley's in Williamsburg VA, near Bush Gardens.........
Those are the original penny crushers that you pay 50 cents n supply your own penny!! I have some of those in my collection too!!!
Jacob learn a lot 🤯
The lip disk lady, this was done to try and avoid slave traders it was done to make them unatractive, as what they belived.
Waaaaait, what? UA-cam will demonize for showing classic historical art? I thought censoring mens nipples was ridiculous, but censoring famous historical art? That is insulting. When is this over censoring going to end!? ....probably when another video platform is created to rival UA-cam. I keep asking, why censor youtube so heavily "for kids" when there is LITERALLY AN UA-cam KIDS APP!? *sigh*... Thank you everyone for joining me on my rant today. P.S. Love you Jacob! Keep up the fantastic videos 😊
I wonder if they still have that taxidermied possum with her babies at the shooting gallery in Canada Ripley's
Jacob was the room that Robert Ripley stayed in open for viewing or did they have any of the rooms open for viewing?
I love this Ripley's. They have ghost hunts at night.
Saddens me that the Times Square RBION location closed permanently. I had just started to work there again, first time back in 2007, in February 2020 as a Time Traveler promoting the "Relic" Escape Room. Then everything in NYC shut down. TS RBION closed a while later.
Ripley's is always a cool place to visit great video Jacob now go home and watch Armageddon. Take care my friend and safe travels.
loved the video. there sure was a lot of oddities how's jen ?
Yeah, I think you could’ve just shown the whole david I’ve seen the original one.
Walter Hudson lived in Hempstead, New York my hometown(ie the hamlet of Bellmore )
Good Morning " YA ALL " Jacob..!!
Do you plan to talk us through your smashed penny collection.
Hi Jacob if your still in st. Augustine.across the parking lot at lighthouse. There's a restaurant I don't think many tourist don't know about
i would say cursed, enchanted, the same thing lol
@@TheCarpetbaggerI'd rather be enchanted than cursed. Sometimes enchanted can be a good thing 🧚🏼♀️🦄
Been 2 months and i still haven't gotten a postcard. 😢😢😢😢
Are u going to the oditys an curiosities this coming weekend?
What year did that stop being a hotel?
Seen both the original and a replica that is outside one of the main official buildings in Florence-which I guess is the other "true" replica. The original lost most of his fingers over the years
Fuuuuuge, I just researched the headless chicken, that's a very disturbing crappy story I wish I i ever knew now.
DO YOU GO TO THE Anne Frank House YET
Your video of Ripleys was great. It gave me an idea. Why dont you go to the Everglades and film yourself hunting pythons, with a professional of course. BTW dont wear your crocs!
paul mccartney
Jacob! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to watch Armageddon next time you’re home! I’m surprised you’ve never seen it.
First!
I also have a piece of coal from the Titanic, bought from the exhibition back in the early nineties. It's one of my most prized possessions.
