I do this for fun and that is one of my favorite tricks. The worst part is I don't have a flag so I do it with a broom. I have this trick where I twirl it in the air, spin around or do a jump and catch it. It's super fun and one of the easiest sports for me to do. We don't have a flag line though.
My color guard captain did it for a solo in the end of the song for marching season, and is now doing it at the end of our song during winter season
I’ll have to pitch that idea for a section in our show this year. It would fit perfectly with the second song.

it’s similar to an “open to the sun” kinda 45. U switch ur hand at the last second and then throw it
It just requires lots of wrist strength
it might just be a lack of wrist strength
I give to do an around the body 45 and this has the same release point so hopefully this will help lolll the mental block is real rn 😅
