A globally diversified set of *compounding* assets is the easiest way. There is high variability in the bitcoin narrative. Compounding is a mathematical force with incredible power.
I am trying to understand one thing. Government and large fund acquisition of Bitcoin will presumably take us close to the point of there being no available Bitcoin left. Is that a correct assumption? So how do we reconcile that with the future longevity of Bitcoin? Presumably, people who have it will not want to part with it. Could you please comment on that?

My niece is 40. When she was in US sixth grade, school changes were made that my sister and brother in law did not like. My sister was volunteering in the school and still couldn't make headway with the school. She called the school about something and was told that once my niece got on the bus, she became school property and my sister and brother in law had no say. Gold will last a nuclear disaster and has many useful properties. Bitcoin doesn't have any. It is a speculative asset and no longer used for what it was originally intended to be used for. Bitcoin is good to have as part of one's portfolio, but having all your eggs in the Bitcoin basket is pretty unwise because it will tank soon once there's the next stock market crash - just like all speculative investments.
25:59 As a fan of the bitcoin standard I find it interesting that Saifadean would decry the exploitation of taxpayers without once mentioning the exploitation of migrant laborers that his precious developed middle eastern countries have engaged in to build themselves up.
Hey Nomad Capitalist, I want to move to Hawaii, USA from Canada and I was wondering how you would get citizenship and open a business or start working there. Thank you so much!!
But to "become rich" at some point you are going to transfer back your Bitcoin to dollars to "buy" what isnt still sold in BTC ?!? So all of the rhetoric and polemics that people use about the American dollar essentially being evil or devaluating is circumstantial at best. Lets take the emotion out of these discussions and see money and its speculative value "in all of its forms" as a zero sum game that were all playing.
You never hold dollars for very long though, its lost over 97% of its purchasing power since 1913, that's not "circumstantial". Any sensible person would only hold enough dollars for short term expenses. Western governments have often been getting in the way of this with tax, hopefully the new leadership in the U.S. will change this trajectory. We actually have a situation where the governments thought they were doing bitcoiners a disservice by taxing it but in reality it's just making people hold off on buying anything or "cashing it in", I'm talking about speculative holders who just think about increasing their fiat holdings, theyre put off by the thought of running it back through an exchange and dealing with bureaucracy so they hold it much longer than they anticipated and a percentage of those people start to realise what they actually hold and so on and so forth
@@ApexCypher_ Borrow against a volatile asset that could go down in value significantly? What bank is going to lend you money for an "asset" that can crash in value 15% in a matter of days? Do you realize that to pay interest and principal on a loan you still need to sell the bitcoin?
If your currency has been stable against the USD, your government effectively prints just as much as the USA, or your currency would appreciate. It's a pretty simple concept, so I'm not sure how the man misunderstands it, or why figured that it's a good sign, since the US has been printing like there's no tomorrow, and only maintains the value of the USD by being the world's reserve currency. Then again, the man advocates for investing in a "currency" you can't even buy bread with, so that checks out.
I understand where you are coming from but UAE hasn't printed the same amount of AED as the US Fed printed USD. However, the currency remains pegged to the USD. So I think he is referring to the monetary terms and not value terms. I could be wrong and happy to be corrected.
@@ApexCypher_ A BTC card converts your BTC into your local fiat currency, then pays the seller. You don't buy anything in BTC, you buy in fiat, which backs your crypto. When I pay my groceries in USD, my bank doesn't convert my USD into some other currency...

Ive never seen investors in an asset class declare with absolute certainty that the price of their investment can only go up as those who invest in bitcoin. "It went up 50% over the last five years" so looking into the next 5 years it cannot do anything else only that again.

Good interview, but some things are a bit exaggerated. Lived in Southern California and several other great places in the US. Paid about 15% tax rate after deductions. Clean streets, good infrastructure, multi cultural with many good people. It’s quite nice.
Ok so mad respect out to this guy for his come up and all he accomplished but as someone professionally in the world of crypto, I don't agree with his views on Bitcoin. From an amassing wealth perspective, where you are putting fresh capital into the crypto markets, there are better opportunities than BTC. And its not outside the realm of possibilities that BTC gets dethroned one day. Its one of the worst blockchains out there. All it is right now is a speculative asset class where there is a belief and an idea behind it that has caused this rise in price. If someone builds something better with real utility that can go viral and have a religious following like Apple, BTC can be dethroned. It would need to be a pre minted coin though. PoW and PoS are both inflationary. Saying bitcoin is deflationary is false. Its inflationary technically until no more BTC can be mined. Its only deflationary relative to other assets or currencies but not deflationary on its own. Only pre minted coins can claim not to be inflationary.
