" ... do it every 100,000 miles, 200k, 300k ..." A gentle nod to the fact these trucks are bullet-proof.
Or.... that these won't ever make it that far.
Got
I'm at 211K on my '04 Sierra 1500 and the 5.3 is like new.
@@gammaxi1275 330k
fml, my noob ass over here overwhelmed now with my used truck purchase lmao
200k...300k and so on. It's a GMT800. Bombproof.
Yes lasts forever. Shame they ain’t rust proof
Just bought my first truck, 06 Chevy Silverado, this video is so helpful!
Good choice
How many miles ?
Better than my 03!
2004 silverado
Just got me first one today 😮
My 06 z71 bought a year ago with 189k on it. Very clean truck have been doing maintenance here and there and will have to do all of this soon. Good video
Fantasitc video. just bought an 07 silvarado right at 100k miles
Great video. I would and did replace the u joints on drive shaft. Mine were sealed with no zirk fitting and they looked burnt and terrible.
im 53 and I have never, on any car I have ever owned changed out power steering fluid, dropped the pan to change tranny fluid and filter, changed break fluid,. My silverado is a 2000 and I bet the only thing Ive done to it is an alternator, belts, evap solenoid and charcoal cannister. I have NEVER changed plugs on any of my cars. Our honda accords have over 200k mile sand never changed plugs. Have your breaks ever not worked due to dirty brake fluid? Power steering not worked when it was full? All that stuff sounds good, but reality is, does it prolong the life of those parts? Ive actually read its better to not change out the tranny fluid... just add to it. In any event, if I had problems with those parts as a result of not doing all of those recommendations, then Id do it.
Thank you!
Mines is 96, what generation is that? Is the recommendation the same? Thanks!
mine has a zerk on the drive shaft slip spline.
Power steering pumps last about 80k. I have replaced many.
Cool man! I just sold my 05 ls for 11k. Had 120k miles. Had some upgrades, cameras, stereo, air bags, etc. Glad I upgraded, been missing out on some huge horse power and torque...🤣👍😉
Was it 4x4?
Wow! 11k! I bought my 05 with 84000 miles, no rust or dings. 7650$. I feel much better about what I paid. Truck runs perfect for 2 years and a 2500 Mile round trip to Surfside Texas with no problems what so ever. Love my Silverado!
YOU FORGOT THE TIMING BELT/CHAIN !!
those chevy trucks were built super cheap. Rip out the EVAP system first
Wow that truck is really rusty..
