I just wanted to put out there, if you want to save up on shavings and not get rid of loads at a time when removing the wet bit, use wood pellets. These are really good and you put them under the shavings and you can leave them for up to 6 weeks. I only leave them for 4 but this prevents you from getting rid on basically a whole bag of shavings a day. Btw I love your videos and Balto is so cute.💕xx

Kara Emberhawk that is true but my horse is prone to laminitis, and since I can’t get up to see her she will be out of work and left in the field half of the time as the yard owner is an elderly lady and struggles to look after all of the horses so just throws feed at them. So I am majorly concerned about her health but there is not much I can do. It also isn’t nice knowing my horse is wondering where I have gone and why she isn’t getting brought up to the yard for a groom and ride anymore.
Silvia cuevas the lady can’t bend down to check her pulse or feel her hooves. She is in her late 60s and never expected this to happen. She also doesn’t have a husband and her daughter lives several hours away so she doesn’t have anyone living with her.
I love these videos. I'm birdwatching in lockdown as the stables I go to are in lockdown. But I am always enjoying these videos and I cannot wait for the first day back to Haworth and for the interview and assessment in Leeds for the animal care course.
I find as an equestrian that our best investment was a hot horse shower. They are really good for full body washes and even if you just want a quick leg wash! Hope this is handy info for any equestrians out there!!!! 😁😁😁😁

Hey, u shouldn’t be tying up horses onto the metal ring instead is should be baling twine so if they need to break away they can, Ive seen it where people haven’t and the horse got really hurt so it’s one of them things that I can’t stand sorry, just can’t help it

We've used various types of bedding and didn't like deep littering. I just prefer giving them a full muck out each day but thank you for the tip x
