    Creationism has met a new low.....Dislike if you are a Creationist. This is intended for entertainment purposes pointing out the ignorance of creationists. This video was meant to be comedic and disturbing in nature. The message in it is imperative. All rational people who watch him can see right through his lies. If you think IM the one who is being "rude" I am not telling blacks that they are foolish for believing in evolution because its supports racism.

      It's not "your" school. And children are required by law to attend school, so they shouldn't lose any of their constitutional rights when they attend school. But you are not required by law to attend a church, and no one would mind that you think while in church, in fact they would welcome it. Just don't fall into the trap of believing that the first thought you have about something religious is going to be the correct one. Christianity is for deep thinkers, who look intently into God's laws and statutes and "history lessons" to discern the deep meanings in them.

      Creation says NOTHING about process and mechanism. It does not address HOW. It makes no claims upon HOW. It does not provide any answer. It is EMPTY of content in that regard.
      Evolution offers an explination of HOW based upon observed phenomena.
      God can chose to use any method to bring about His Creation... including Evolution. God and Creation DO NOT rule out Evolution!

So atheism is the total opposite of religion. What is so difficult to understand. Needless to say, I have had minimal success.

    The funny part is when you open a jar of peanut butter, there IS new life within it. It is stuffed with bacteria which is constantly undergoing mitosis to create multiple new bacteria cells. It's just so small you can't see it

    • @NetRolller3D
      @NetRolller3D 7 років тому +11

      Ijaz Ahmed That's not actually new life (as in a second abiogenesis) - it's pre-existing life reproducing. In fact, this is precisely why we don't "occasionally" find new life on Earth - abiogenesis happens so slowly that if there is already existing life, it will gobble up the nutrients well before new life could form. We would have to keep a nutrient-rich environment sterile for millions or perhaps billions of years to give a chance for new life to take off.

      The peanut butter argument is an argument against "spontaneous generation," which was disproved a long time ago. Creationists hope that if they can mix up the definitions of evolution with the definition of spontaneous generation, they will somehow disprove evolution.
      It's the same argument as this: I define God to be a square circle. Logically, a square circle cannot exist, therefore I have disproved God.

Even if he did, good ideas don't become bad because the person who says them may be disagreeable. It's clear that airplanes are designed, and swallows are not. If Dawkins wants to make up words for ideas he has, whatevs.

      It appears that his DD (Doctor of Divinity) is an honorary one. He is a Second Day Adventist. This church runs its own colleges and grants degrees that are seldom accredited by any legitimate institution, (with good reason). I've had a good poke around and can't find a source that tells where he was educated or received the honorary "degree". An interesting note: he is virulently anti-Catholic and was "deported" from the Vatican while trying to film a diatribe against the Pope. Apparently Vatican security escorted him out of the Vatican, took him to the airport in Rome and put him on a plane back to the US.

      James Richard, real science is based on empiricism. What happened to science in evolutionary theory? Macroevolution i.e. major transitional changes are all based on nothing but hypotheses and nobody knows the details and it's all a bunch of speculation. That's not science -- that's a "just so" story to "just believe" because authorities in science say so. I challenge you to discuss any one lineage and its evidence. You probably won't take up my challenge though since you "know" everything evolved.

      First, their is Young Earth Creationism and Creationism. Creationism is an attempt to show the bible and science can exist side by side when proper interpretation, understanding of ancient civilization, and recreating the context both historical and social within the framework of the conditions and understanding the ancient world knew. Young earth creationism is a relatively new idea high jacked, from traditional creationist, by groups like answers in genesis. Christian Scholars both conservative and liberal have expressed embarrassment and fraud concerning this ultra-fundamental approach to the interpretation of scripture. See: William Lane Crag, N.T Wright and Dr. John Walton for related topics. Don't just stand on the sidelines and throw rocks investigate the other side. I don't know if professional apologetics are really psychotic - or just elaborate con-artists. I mean, he makes a heap of money every time he fills up his church with gullible folks. Every book he sells, every appearence...
      I'm fairly sure, that at least both Hovinds and Ken Ham are well aware of all the evidence and know that they are purposfully spread their lies.
      Generalisations like 'all theists are psychotic' ... doesn't help much and isn't true, too.
      People raised in an religious enviroment, with no exposure to science or secular education can't act much else than believe.
      And if confronted with evidence they have to make a choice - stay true to themselves or to their belief-system. But this comes with a heavy load:
      Staying true to oneself might easily lead to loosing your family, your friends, your workplace and social standing.
      So how would you present this evidence: "Hey you idiot - let me show you the truth. By the way I despise you and your religion and when you stop believing you loose every social connection you have and I don't show any sign of helping you out, you moron - so decide, what are you gonna do now?"
      I'd say a fundamentalistic religous enviroment is in itself harmful and kind of psychotic. But the people don't need to be automatically.
      Most former believers, at least on youtube, like Paulogia, Aron Ra and Matt Dilahunty say themselves, they don't get smarter by stop believing, they just changed their perspective on evidence and rationalism.

Look at another and you'll see a dude who'll make Netflix and Chill jokes for hours on end and likes to rap. Both of the individuals I am thinking of are teenagers like me, and though I admit the formal is white and the later black, I've seen it the other way around as well, so it shouldn't matter. The church my parents choose to go to does not have drums, and we sing only hymns, and there's even a nearby seminar about how the media distracts us from God. Whereas church camp would sing upbeat praise songs and used to play Disney songs, to the delight of the campers, until some parent complained and they stopped.

    Evolutionary biologists have met their burden of proof and published it for all who care to look at the evidence.
    Creationists have a holy book with a description of a character inside that was created by Hebrews living in the isolation of the Sinai Desert 2000 years ago. The name of the character they created was Yaweh (YHWH) who said "I am a jealous god and you must worship, love and obey me or I will hurt you."
    And here we are.

    • @Jamie-Russell-CME
      @Jamie-Russell-CME 6 років тому

      If that were true, you might have a point. But it isn't true. Burden of proof should be something which can be demonstrated not extrapolated. Especially when genetic details are problematic to the extrapation of common ancestry. And to the idea of relation by homology and embryology given the genetic data. Junk DNA is another evidence why common ancestry assumptions show evolutionary ideas as a hindrance of science. Because it was false prediction.

    I actually think there's a moment when he's quite honest. He says that the reason people who don't believe in evolution is because "they don't want to be accountable to God; they do not want to be held responsible for their actions." (It's at about the three minute mark.) Now, of course that's wrong. That's not why people believe in evolution--including a majority of Christians. But it's actually reveals why the idea of evolution is so threatening to him. He wants to believe in a system where people who believe differently than he does will suffer eternal punishment. You can find many videos where the creationist Ken Ham makes the exact same argument: you don't want to believe in God because you want to commit sin without consequence.
    To an atheist, of course, this is an absurd claim. But I don't think this guy or Ken Ham, or most of these evangelists really care about converting atheists. (If so, they're certainly going about it the wrong way.) I think they're really talking to their own flock--like this guy is--telling them that evolution and atheists are dangerous and they shouldn't look too closely at the facts or they will put their souls in jeopardy.

    • @ACloserFriend
      @ACloserFriend 6 років тому

      That's not true. Nobody want to see people go to hell, but we want people to turn to Jesus so they won't go to hell since we all deserve hell. But only those who turn to God and humble themselves can be accepted and redeemed. We have all broken the Moral Law and we all know this. Many atheists don't want to conform to certain guidelines in the Bible such as sex only in the context of marriage. Look at the profane statement on the screen at 10:30 -- this would not be something he could do as a born-again Christian but there are no rules in atheism. Atheists can do anything they want and have a different sexual partner for the rest of their lives every day. But the Bible teaches that this is wrong because God is Holy and God dwells in us, and sex is beautiful but only in the context of marriage. This is why many atheists hate us and refuse to consider Jesus Christ.

    • @81Wordsworth
      @81Wordsworth 6 років тому +8

      I'm not saying that you (or the makers of the video) want to see people go to Hell. I'm saying that this video doesn't really try to persuade non-believers, even though that seems to be its purpose. What it says to atheists is that they don't want to believe in the Bible because they want to sin. But that's nonsense. Atheists are not perfect, but we are no bigger sinners than Christians! What is also silly is your claim that atheists think we can do anything we want or have a different sexual partner for the rest of their lives every day. Do you actually know any atheists who behave that way? I certainly don't. Even if we were only seeking our own happiness (which isn't true), this would hardly be a recipe for a happy life!
      Almost all atheists live by some kind of moral code. Do some atheists commit adultery or act in ways that are sexually destructive to themselves and others? Sure. But so do Christians. The difference is that most atheists don't believe that there is anything wrong with having sex before marriage or having multiple sexual partners over our lifetimes. We see this as normal and healthy behavior. (Actually, many if not most Christians see it this way as well.) We don't think it pollutes our bodies or makes us impure, and Christians' attitudes about sex strike us as really odd.
      What this video (as well as others) demonstrates is that the creationists in it do not know the first thing about what atheists believe, how we act, or why we do what we do. If they really wanted to bring atheists to Christianity, they would begin by trying to figure that out. But they don't. They are more interested in protecting their own worldview from questions or outside ideas, in "fighting off" the modern world. As I said, these videos aren't designed to reach non-Christians. They are designed to reassure Christians that only their worldview is moral and that they must resist and retreat from anyone who is different in order to protect themselves.

      First of all, if you are using an appeal to the masses, it is a logical fallacy. Claiming that a majority accepts anything is not proof that it is true. Secondly, what do you mean by evolution? If you are using the basic definition as change over time, well that is all that you can claim. But if you claim that all of life sprang from the primordial soup, from a single-cell organism, and evolved into all living matter - well that is just a fantasy that you cannot prove, especially since we cannot observe it happening now. All we can observe is things adapting to their environment or diet, as in the finch beaks on the Galapagos islands. We have never observed a cat becoming a dog or anything to that kind of thing - it doesn't happen because it never did.

There isn't enough to have covered to earth's highest mountain ranges and then return to it’s original state risking another event of similar magnitude. Even if there was the pyramids have no water damage, considering they would have been 700 years old at the time and other buildings. Then there's the question of how Noah and his family were able to re-populate the world to the population count it is today, the mathematics do not account for it, it's physically impossible. My native language is spanish (there is a context, so i have to clarify). I had a series of discussions with a friend on facebook, he has always been on the short side of education (he lived in Mexico when i met him, we were co-workers). He was a satanist back then. Then i found out that he was in jail, though not exactly sure why, nor i care. Anyways, he moved to the US, became a christian and began posting stupid stuff. The discussions were mostly me correcting him.
    So once, he told me about a pastor (Alducin is his last name if i recall correctly) that destroyed evolutionary theory and that i should watch the video. The pastor claimed in the video that scientist claimed that evolution has been going on for about 50 billion years...........500 000 000 000 years of evolution..... The good thing is that he said that in the opening minutes. When some one says that, you cannot take seriously the rest. It was obvious he had no idea what he was talking about, so i did not watched the rest, but probably that pastor beats this one in stupidity.

      Jay Wendt Darwin DID spend alot of his time in "prison". He was mentally ill by his own words. 9[sic] and medical doctor George Pickering, in an extensive study of Darwin's illness, concluded that in his early thirties, Darwin became an "invalid recluse" (1974, p. 34). UCLA School of Medicine Professor Dr. Robert Pasnau (1990, p. 123) noted that Darwin also "remained ill almost continually" for the entire five years that he was on his HMS Beagle trip.... so Darwin was unable to leave his house for most of his life ...just like a "prison". [sic] Darwin's many psychological or psychologically influenced physical health symptoms included severe depression, insomnia, hysterical crying, dying sensations, shaking, fainting spells, muscle twitches, shortness of breath, trembling, nausea, vomiting, severe anxiety, depersonalization, seeing spots, treading on air and vision, and other visual hallucinations (Barloon and Noyes, 1997, p. 139..) seems people have decided to follow a self described Loon at best. He also stated he received great joy and excitement at killing living things. Gee... glad they didnt have assault rifles back then. ( "The Illness of Charles Darwin." The American Journal of Medicine 65(4):572-574.)
      He also suffered from extreme acne and had severe farting spells.... sounds kinda like Alfred E Neuman from Mad Magazine.
      p.s. there have been three books written on Darwins mental health or lack there of. I dont fault Darwin for his illnesses but do question people that follow the teachings of a hallucinating, known psychopath and then knock a seemingly healthy, rational and logical guy like Mr Bachelor ..

Rubes and hayseeds are easily impressed. That's why they're rubes.

    • @rvapes5912
      @rvapes5912 9 років тому +3

      Jay Wendt First you have to recognize that there are Christians, and there are Christians. Personally, I border on being an anti-theist, but even I won't say that intelligence and theism are mutually exclusive. That has nothing to do with the kind of people who believe the likes of Hovind, Comfort, etc.. Those people are mostly average or below average in intelligence, but mainly they're woefully uneducated and, more importantly, so invested in their beliefs that anyone who reinforces them, no matter how much the clown, is instantly granted authority and credibility.
      An intelligent theist will find rational, reasonable ways to reconcile his faith with reality. It's not difficult and millions do it. A moron will cling to a literal translation of the bible and indulge in a hyper state of confirmation bias, absorbing anything he can find to assure him that his myths aren't as ridiculous as they sound. The stupid thing is not indulging in confirmation bias. To them, that's spiritual self-defense, so it's perfectly reasonable. The stupid thing is that they've conflated their salvation and the literal accuracy of what would be considered a very shabby document by the standards of serious historians. They've painted themselves into a corner.
      Imagine yourself in their shoes. You *must* literally believe in and defend the creation myth, the flood myth, Jonah and the whale, etc.. Everyone outside your church thinks you're an imbecile for believing fairy tales. 98% of the most intelligent, accomplished scientists in the world think you're a moron. The more educated people become, the more they think you're a superstitious fool. What would you do? You'd search around for someone to tell you that *you* have it right and everyone else will burn in hell. You'd buy into conspiracies among scientists to disprove god and make us all atheists. You'd believe universities existed to spread the atheist world view, hide evidence against evolution and for god and on and on and on.... Because if you _don't_ believe these things, your whole world will come crashing down around your ears under the weight of tangible reality. You won't get a do-over on your shitty life. You'll never see Grandma or Fluffy again. There's no Special Snowflake chair with your name on it in heaven. You'll have no reason to act decently and you'll become an immoral animal, just like the scientists said you were. You'll probably slit your own throat out of despair, after raping the girl next door because that's what godless people do.
      So what do you do? You must defend yourself. You seek out charlatans skilled at telling you what you desperately must hear. You ridicule those more educationally accomplished than yourself, preferably with bible verses admonishing against knowledge. You deny or ignore anything that doesn't comport with scripture and unconditionally accept as fact anything that does. And, most importantly, you abandon or re-define reason and logic, abusing them beyond recognition in order to maintain your delusions of personal immortality. And you lie. And you quote mine, and you lie some more. The best biblical literalists earn membership to the Liars-For-Jebus© Club.

    Reasons why there is no god:
    1) Life does not need to have a meaning.
    2) All religions are shaped by the culture of that specific geografical area hence any god is made in the image of people: this means that god is just in your brain.
    3) You just follow your family's religion as you were indoctrinated from the very beginning of your life. Your family was indoctrinated by their parents and so on until the days when religious education was mandatory.
    So, this much depends on the area where you were born. Basically what you know does not exist: it has just been told you to believe in it since when you were young and not able to do a critic about life.
    4) If religion books were cancelled, they would have re-written differently (e.g. would a re-written version of the Bible - the word of god - describe that sun goes around the earth nowadays?).
    Instead, if scientific researches were cancelled they would have re-written in the same way cause they are based on objective evidence.
    5) 4,200 religions in the world: how do you prove yours is the true one and on which evidence you discredit the others?
    6) The most popular religions just coincide with the most dominant/rich/colonialist countries as they were spread by force/political influence
    7) When people could not cure themselves they relied on witchcraft. Once science found the cure, witchcraft got extinguished. By analogy, religion works in the same way as witchcraft as it is just an irrational method of compensation for material life problems and it disappears when issues are fixed materially. Religion just gives you the illusion to obtain something that you will never get.
    8) If you say "what was there before universe?", then I say, "what was there before god" ?
    9) It has already been demonstrated by science that organic matter can be generated by inorganic matter (check the Miller-Urey experiment)
    10) Big bang: explosion which determined life and continuous spreading of energy nowadays. Human production/reproduction is just an expression of that energy keeps spreading. Before the big bang there was neither space nor time, hence a god couldn't exist.
    Extra point: We are all here discussing because of CONSCIOUSNESS.
    Humans are the only ones who are provided with CONSCIOUSNESS in such a way that they can think, plan, construct even under long-term outlooks.
    CONSCIOUSNESS is therefore a system of defence to better allow our survival and it is the result of an evolved brain which took millions of years to develop to this level: it's not a gift of God...
    Please feed consciousness with reasoning instead of superstitions and useless beliefs because it is thanks to this defensive system that we have finally managed to understand how we came here. The rest is just faith...

    Scientists in China breed healthy mice from two females!
    Researchers in China say they've bred healthy mice with two mothers using a new type of gene editing technology, a significant feat that may help researchers better understand mammalian reproduction but carries significant ethical and safety questions.
    A total of 29 bi maternal mice were produced using 210 embryos in the study. They all were "normal, lived to adulthood, and had babies of their own," though they showed "some defective features," according to researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
    But not all the mice pups survived the experiment. Mice produced from two fathers only survived a couple of days after being born.

      How History Could Be Reshaped So what do all these new findings and dates mean for mankind’s history? The article published yesterday in the journal Nature, points out clearly that the modern dating techniques could shed light on the emergence of early humans and their coexistence with ancient wildlife on the Australian continent. The question is: Could this discovery truly reshape history? The answer is yes! Ultimately, the findings also indicated that Homo sapiens' predecessors, Neanderthals and Denisovans, coexisted with humans for much longer than we originally thought, since the new research pretty much suggests that Australia was occupied almost 20,000 years before the first humans arrived in Europe. This shows a much more important role for Australia in the shaping of human history. The research is expected to receive a lot of criticism since the scientific topics of discussion it opens are too many and too important. Dispute Appears to be Over The site was last excavated back in the 1980s. Back then it was believed to be between 50,000 and 60,000 years old. However, these dates had been disputed by several archaeologists and in order to settle the dispute for once and for all, Dr. Clarkson and his colleagues returned to the site in 2012 and 2015, armed with more advanced technology and techniques this time. Excavation at the site took place only after the local Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation representing the traditional owners, gave permission to the researchers. Next, as Phys Org mentions , labs in Australia used a combination of radiocarbon dating and a technique called luminescence dating (to examine the newly found artifacts), which can show accurately when single grains of sand were last exposed to sunlight, to determine the age of the sediment surrounding the artifacts. The results indicated the lower layers were around 65,000 years old, changing the original date significantly. To be sure that the dates were correct, Professor Jacobs of the University of Wollongong sent four samples to the University of Adelaide for independent testing. The results were the same as ABC News reports .
      "Through aerial imagery, we can see that Adani have cleared vegetation, put in roads, put in permanent infrastructure to impact our groundwater at a time of great drought and climate change. Adani have put at risk the sensitive, ONE-MILLION-YEAR-OLD springs by doing this illegal activity."

    I think the worst creationist is pretty much whoever the last creationist you listened to is.

    Who would have guessed that archaeologists lose funding if they don't find things, i.e do their job.

      Then creationists should lose their funding until they can produce a talking snake.

    He says that evolutionists are motivated by money. I suppose then, that everybody in that auditorium got in for free and he never passes a collection plate around either.

      +Joe Grodis does that make atheism a faith?

      +Michael Trevathan No. Atheism is the rejection of claims, not a claim itself. You cannot have faith in something without a claim.

      ReactedTugBoat Remember that a position held firmly is a position, regardless of what it is named. Atheism is a position that there is no god. Atheism is not the position that we cannot know if there is a god or not and sits on the fence about the issue. Atheism takes a very firm stance about the existence of a god, and does so without evidence. Therefore, it is a religion because it rejects logic and reason and substitutes those with faith.

      +Michael Trevathan Atheism isn't absolute, atheism consists of ranges of agnosticism. But either way, a religion such as Christianity is only denouncing one less religion than atheism. Why should Christianity be the absolute true religion when there are hundreds of others claiming also to be true?
      Maybe a god exists, but he is certainly NOT in the form that any of the holy scriptures of any existing religion depict it him as.
