    TIP for cold places. Here in Canada eh!, my hose water temp was 6C! That's 42F for Y'all in the US... That water was so cold it set off my freeze protection safe guard. The pumps kept going until the water warmed up to 45F, then it operated as normal. I was unaware of such a safe guard, so I was worried that something was wrong. And yes, it took about 10hrs to get that water up to 95F!

    Perfect timing for this video :) Mine is finally coming this Monday. I'm going to keep track when I heat mine up to see how long it takes as well. It's like 95* here too, very warm out. Can't wait. :)

      Cool! Can't wait to hear about it. Have you checked the temp of your garden hose water? Mine comes in around 72 so 3-4 hours is about right for heating up.

      @@HotTubOwnerHQ No I haven't. Might have to see if I have something to check that and do that Sunday as well.

    I have a gas tankless water heater. I set the temp on it to 95 and run the garden hose out to the Tub and fill it up with the 95 degree water, then let the hot tub heater take it the rest of the way to the desired temp. I live in Indiana and the winters can be really cold. works great and only takes it about an hour or so to hit the 102 degree set temp.

    My SPA is heating up but very very slow. Took 2 days to get up 93f. I replaced the heater recently so I don’t think it’s that - I do see FLO error, replaced filter but still the same issue, any ideas ?

    Thanks for the video. Just wondering but does a hot tub heat up quicker as it gets warmer?

    I have a go plus inflatable hot tub and when the jets are on they work fine, no issues but whether they are on or off when I turn the heater on its Emmitts a small electrical shock to you. Any idea why?

    • @HotTubOwnerHQ
      @HotTubOwnerHQ  3 роки тому

      If you feel a shock in the water that seems really dangerous to me and I wouldn't use it. There must be something wrong. If it's new, I would return it under warranty, but otherwise I would probably buy a new one.

    If you have 110 V plug and play hot tub turning on the Jets well actually in most cases turn off the heater so if you want to heat up your water quicker having the Unless it’s a 220 Volt jets on actually doesn’t help

      Correct and sorry if that wasn't clear in this video. I know I mention that in some of my videos about 110v.

    How easy do u find it in America to source parts

    • @HotTubOwnerHQ
      @HotTubOwnerHQ  4 роки тому

      Hi Tony
      For newer hot tubs it hasn't been hard. My previous hot tub I bought used and the company who made it was out of business, so that was a lot harder. The website spadepot.com had what I needed though.

    I’m in Scotland and thinking seriously about purchasing a hot tub. Looked at a company called advanced hot tubs but there built in China ??? Wud rather buy American or Canadian. I am a mechanical engineer and when it comes to cars trucks or buses I know which ones too buy for reliability. That’s where I’m looking for advice with ur history and knowledge which is the most reliable forget about cost

      Hi Tony! I'm long overdue for a Scotland trip! But that's beside the point. I hadn't heard of that company, but Googling it, it seems like the company is headquartered in Scotland and probably not widely sold here. That being said, the company does have 171 Google reviews and rates 5-stars, so they must be doing something right. But I understand being skeptical about buying things made in China.
      The hot tub I own now (came with the house when I bought it) is a Master Spas Twilight Series. It looks to be about 10 years old, and is still in really good shape. I wish the filter/heater was a tad quieter. But it runs great and is inexpensive to operate.
      Have you tried Grizzly Bear Hot Tubs?

    And just a tip out there for people that water your garden with the garden hose. Like he said the temperature sometimes comes out of the garden hose hot sitting in the sun, so let the water come out of your garden hose for a little bit before you water anyting or it will kill or damage What you water if it is hot!
