I was just about to say modern racecars you can tune them to go exactly how fast you want while staying full throttle. Meaning you can tell a 3.80 car to go 4.0s and so on

@@spankthemonkey3437 Most likely no. You can't run an engine without oil and mechanical failures are part of racing. You can, however, run water instead of coolant while your at the drag strip and water is much easier to clean up than coolant.
All out works to a degree, but the big flaw is that the initial runs are in the heat of the day, and the competition is at night when the track gets better and the air temps are cooler (more power).
With all due respect many many cars run on Michigan dragstrips with antifreeze. People are swapping out their coolant in these cars; Think Hellcats, Vettes, GT 500, daily drivers that go 11-s some run 10's in the 1/4. I ran my S10 with Antifreeze as well, Milan Dragway, Come to think of it Pinks was at Milan
You can sit here and throw anecdotes around all you want. The clear and concise rules are no antifreeze products on any and all IHRA and NHRA tracks nationwide. Your track may allow coolant. But its the exception if it does Go check NHRA or IHRA websites it's written in clear verbage

ATTENTION!!!! If you plan to run your car at the strip, PLEASE run water as coolant. Pretty much every track's tech I've ever been to, seems to let this slide (and NHRA doesn't even REQUIRE it anymore) for street cars and crap, but honestly, even if you're running your "daily driver", you should REALLY do the right thing, and swap the coolant out for straight water for the night. If you have a spill, they're NOT gonna be happy (and neither will other racers AND the crowd, waiting for cleanup)! I promise :) Thanks! From a fellow racer and enthusiast 🙂👍

Ennis doesn’t have that as a “rule” though. Kind of go on the lines of, if you drove it there, coolants ok, if it’s trailered, try and use water. But I heard somewhere NHRA is ok with coolant now in the stocker class? Not to sure on that one
yes that is a rule at any racetrack, anti freeze is a no no, just do not do it, if you run a daily driver, take the time to drain it and put water in it, unless you race in freezing temps? it really can ruin the day for a lot of people

Not sure exact early episode it was but it was sooo funny to see his brother tell him “be careful it’s fast Rich”. Rich doesn’t even make it 1/8 track before this classic moment. Today I learned I love drag racing, if there's a good showman reminding me of the actual stakes and somebody showing the atmosphere at the track. Don't think i'd watch it from the grandstands, not personal enough.
Why does that 8k filled napa box, look exactly like my at home garage, 2k filled craftsman box. Drawer config in my personal craftsman box allows for 3.4 cubic feet than this box, and top and bottom were less than 1200.
Seriously 2yr ban for anti freeze sure I can see it being annoying to clean up but I would think maybe a 1-3month ban and a decent fine/clean up fee would be enough of a penalty.

Some of the biggest heads up events like No Prep Kings or Racewars might bring in about 150-230 cars, while some of the biggest bracket races can easily bring in 800 cars. Hell, I think one year the U.S. Nationals was able to bring in 1,000 racers.
The Cars are the Stars and the drivers come next and way down the list of attractions would be the hosts IMO. Ask them about their cars and edit down their answers. Bangin metal music is cool but not during the whole show.If they aren`t all LS powered it would be nice to see the engines too. I`m not ragging completely on the "celeb`s" but with your production costs you should get a little closer to 1320 views than you are right now.
Like you said Waters easy to clean up antifreeze is not. It was not an 89 cent plug that ruined the day it was antifreeze in the radiator when it should have been water
I am not a mechanic but I can tell you that it is a pain and a half to get ALL the antifreeze out of the loop... And this is just me flushing my daily driver 96 Civic, not a race car.
