    It's very refreshing to watch a review of someone who finally puts things into context. Thanks for putting some thoughts into your opinions and fair reviews. 👏 Absolutely correct about the cheap set-up (yes, it was hosted in a club in Prague). It's new, different, and will stand out regardless of the competition. And she's got HALF a year to work on her performance.

    love aiko and i think if she can improve her vocals, she could do really well!
    i think we need to give aiko some time before people attack her with pitchforks cause both vesna and we are domi both managed to slay at Eurovision also maybe I’m just bias but her performance wasn’t even that bad 😭😭

    I think Czechia really just needs to go back to the pre-recorded live performances like they had in 2022 when We Are Domi represented them. They were polished and the vocals in them were good. I commend them for trying to put on a live NF. But both this year and last year you can see and hear just how little of a budget they have to put on a live show. I mean they literally get like 5 euros and a pack of gum from the broadcaster to put something together. I think 2022 was the perfect format and they need to return until they drum up more domestic support for ESCZ and Eurovision as a whole and snag themselves a larger budget so they can put on a better show. Because the lower-budget product does a disservice to their artists and songs. People get upset with the vocals and the artist than has to spend the next 5 months trying to change opinions. I mean even last year with Vesna I absolutely loved the studio cut but when the live performance happened all I could do was cringe. Because I could tell just how low budget the live show was and their harmonies/vocals sounded awful. And because of that I remember spending all of last year seeing people talking about how Vesna couldn't sing and how they were gonna NQ. They really just need to go back to their 2022 format. Because it's perfect for the resources they have.

    To be honest, I don’t think that she is bad or anything. Like we will see what the final product will be. My problem is that the voting was a bit weird for me. Also we had 7 songs and I would say there were ate least 3 better song and better artist which didn’t get even half of the vote what she got. Mydy had a lot of hype for example but they came 3rd with very small amount of points. Also Elly was a great one she won the Czech votes but it only counts 30% which is questionable to be honest because this is the Czech national final and Czechs has no power. Like last year Vesna was by far the best on that selection and won with a lot of votes it makes sense. Her winning with those much votes and the majority of the people didn’t even liked the song a bit suspicious. Also you could easily vote from the same device unlimitedly if you are a bit more creative…anyway we’ll see how it goes I don’t hate it but somehow I don’t have good feelings about this situation.

      I genuinely want to know why you think they would rig ESCZ? What does Czechia and it's delegation stand to gain? People make these accusations when their favorite doesn't win. But I can't come up with any reasonable justification why Czechia, who already has a meager budget to go to Eurovision, would waste time, resources, and money putting on a rigged show. They gain nothing. The song doesn't have any propagandic value to it and Czechia doesn't need any help qualifying or turning out good results. So I'd like some more concrete reasoning to why you think it's rigged other than "no one believes" because that's solely anecdotyl and not good enough.

    • @Markstubation01
      @Markstubation01 6 місяців тому

      @@jasonburmeister4746 Smaller budget delegations are incentivised to have a certain outcome in their national selection process due to a certain name being able to get more financial backing then others. For example, Australia 2019, Kate Miller-Heidke was an unsigned artist thus she had to fund her own staging and used crowd funding. Had she been signed to a record label she would have got her label to fund her staging.
      I knew my favourite wasn’t going to win. And I’m not sad that Aiko won, she was my third favourite. However I simply don’t believe the results.

    • @jasonburmeister4746
      @jasonburmeister4746 6 місяців тому

      @@Markstubation01 Are you suggesting that Aiko could bring more financial resources than say Lenny (who has a much larger following and is more established) to supplement Czechia's meager budget? We both understand that the Czech delegation has a really small budget. Why put on a show? Why not just select her internally if they really wanted to. Also I would argue that using the Eurovision App to collect votes is probably the most secure and trustworthy way you could go. I mean I am sure the EBU was aware of the numbers before they released. Especially since the votes were collected on their platform. Arguing that Czechia decided to waste money on a rigged NF when they could just select internally (which no one would have complained about) for the purpose of securing the resources Aiko has (which can't be a whole lot) doesn't make much sense. Implying that the Czech delegation would rig the competition is completely unbelievable. If you wanted to argue that there was external forces at work rigging it I would give some more credence to that argument than the one you're making now. But that would still be a stretch.

    • @Markstubation01
      @Markstubation01 6 місяців тому

      @@jasonburmeister4746 I believe that the voting mechanism used were done in a way that would collect more votes for their artist of choice. And you don’t think that someone as big as Lenny wouldn’t be demanding a higher appearance fee that someone like Aiko?

    • @jasonburmeister4746
      @jasonburmeister4746 6 місяців тому

      @@Markstubation01 I don't think appearance fees are a thing in Eurovision. If that's the case would they have not had to pay that fee for them to perform in the NF. If they are so worried about Lenny's fee why have her in the NF? Again your argument doesn't make much sense. I'm sure that the Czech broadcaster has a contract with the selected artist that set out the terms but I am almost certain that they wouldn't be paid for it. They may get royalties from the EBU for licensing their song but outside of that broadcasters don't pay their artists. I don't think that has ever been a thing. Also elaborate on your issues with the voting mechanism a bit. Do you not trust the EBU's platform?
