We looked at this and I thought this by far was the nicest interior I've seen in a motorhome at the NEC. It's like a boutique hotel.

I put a (Bob) dishwasher in my van conversion (which was a lot cheaper than this 😄) and I can and do run it off the inverter... I recommend the Bob dishwasher, by the way, it's a lot more lighter weight than the Bosch in this Laika, and it works great. It's meant to be "portable" and easy to use, plumbed in or not. I love it.

Hi Andrew, thanks for showing us around this lovely motorhome! Beautiful inside, dish washer?! I'm the dish washer! That sort of thing doesn't bother me at all, I find myself more or less washing things up before I put them in the dish washer anyway! I haven't had one since Spain and really don't miss it! Seems months and months ago now, the Nec! Time goes by so quick! Everyone's talking about the next one in February! You promised us these vids and you've delivered like you always do! The dishlex dishwasher I have specifically says don't rinse the dishes. I never have, and they always come out spotless. I have a large family and I often do a Sunday lunch for 12-20, so I'd be lost without it. Cheers from Oz.
@@grannyannie2948 I actually meant in a motorhome not a house, yes they're very handy if you are feeding a lot of people!

Over the years I've seen many large caravans in Australia with dishwashers for about $100 000, though ofcourse that doesn't include the tow vehicle.
When you were talking about the shower I assumed it was spa, as in somewhere to be pampered, as opposed to the cheap supermarket spar.😉

This was one of my favourite vans at the show. I only got to view the cooker version (missed the dishwasher) but the quality of the vehicle made me think it would be closer to the hymers in price. Fabulous

Beautiful but it looks to be at least 7 meters long, so too long for me as it won’t go on the drive.
So basically only a two-person camper van, then, eh? Couldn't see that working for a family of 4 but wow; what a nice way to travel...
It had a second double bed, that hydrologically lowers from the ceiling of the cab area.
Boutique hotel room - you summed it up nicely, Andrew! Really stunning. A fine vehicle for stylish touring in all weather conditions, probably including Scandinavia.
Probably because it's way out of my price range, I would always worry in case it was damaged, as I used to with my Bürstner 690G to be honest...
Also, the money tied up in this would pay decades of great holidays on posh sites in Europe. It's sobering to think that you could buy between 6 and 8 Knaus 400LK caravans (my current van) for the cost of this motorhome, depending on Laika options! Or around 2.5 - 3 of the new Ford-based Weinsberg campervans...
The lighting is nice, but I prefer the Knaus indirect lighting system which is more ambient, even in my cheap caravan.
I am slightly surprised that there is no electric component to the hob - the dishwasher implies that mains power should be available most of the time.
I do agree; over €150k for an object while that money can be spent on countless experiences. May I also ask if such an investment makes any sense when in 12 years time we should say goodbye to these engines... Not to mention LEZ all across Europe's cities... Videos like these are fun to watch, and I do agree Michel Vuillermoz has been doing an outstanding job at Laika, but we should start to talk serious about this industry. In 2 years prices have gone up by an average of 20%. "They" say it's due to supply chain issues, but the true is motorhome manufacturers report higher profits while the number of vehicle sales decrease. Registrations of new motorhomes in France, this year, have gone down 26% compared to 2021 and 5% compared to 2020. Curious to see German numbers (Europe's biggest market).
Excellent points. However, having studied the subject, non-ICE motorhomes are still some way off unfortunately.

It's beautiful but I don't like how you don't have privacy in the shower cubicle.
You can shut the door to the rest of the van making a en suite couldnt be more private really
@@BellasBigAdventures But when you camp you can never know who may want to move within the motorhome, space is so tight that you don't have the luxury to isolate half the space if you're not alone. For instance there may be guests who sit in different areas, people who want to access the rear for a while, someone who makes the bed while you shower, you may wish to have all windows open etc. It's a nice concept easthetically but not practical unless you travel solo. Perhaps they could had added the option to include a waterproof blind to the glass panel.
@@ringwe umm we have this set up and it’s never been an issue. I suppose if you spend hours showering it might be an issue but we’ve never had a problem. Plus I would hope the person making the bed would know you well enough not to be embarrassed by you showering!? 😂 plus I can’t say I’d ever shower with visitors in the van! But each to their own I suppose that’s why there’s so many options available.
@@BellasBigAdventures I hope you can see the general picture and understand that so many people travel differently. What if you travel with a child and each wants to take a shower? Would you want to have either exposed to each other for even a second? What if you travel with two children, one showers and the other runs up and down the motorhome, as children do? What if you travel with a group of friends and the friends have no shower on their camper van? Would you like to offer them yours? What if time is tight because you are not camping on a single place and while your friends take their turn, 5 minutes each mind you, you tidy up the motorhome while another friend prepare a quick lunch, and because it's summer it's more pleasant to have all windows open and let the air circulate? By now I hope you understand I am presenting you realistic scenarios, with no sarcastic undertones.
@@ringwe i didnt think you were being sarcastic but surely being able to shut a solid door separating the lounge with children or visitors in for the 5 mins is preferable to a shower curtain that you then have to vacate to dry and dress? As you say each to their own. Im not trying to argue with you, everyone travels differently, i was just trying to point out as someone who lives with this configuration that it seems more practical for all those scenarios not less so.
Sorry if this was 60K I wouldn't want it those sit up and beg seats in the lounge 🙄🙄i think I'll keep my very comfortable rear lounge set up where two of us can spread out in our Elldis Autostratus 30 years old 😂😂😂😂

Never mind the tannoy, it got my attention that the price is twice the cost of my wee Hutch! Still, I do agree it is rather well appointed. But a dishwasher... hmmmm... jury's out on that one! YAM xx
The trouble with those half sized dishwashers is realistically you have to stack them twice for each meal. I notice that none of the newer Caravans etc have a drainer, which must make doing the dishes difficult.
Laïka do some very nice motorhomes. Much better quality than Mobilvetta.
With wild camping being nigh on impossible in Europe, I'd like to see more motorhome / caravan manufacturers giving the option of doing away with with a toilet /shower room and a opening them up to bigger living / sleeping space. I've never used my shower as the campsite facilities are better than my motorhome's.
Yeah, wandering off to a toilet/shower block in the middle of the night is not exactly my idea of fun. Horses for courses I suppose - the problem then comes when you went for that option and came to sell the motorhome, your target purchaser would be a very niche bunch.
Go to an "aire" or a "stellplatz" and look for the toilet... If you do nothing but campsites, buy a California or a caravan without a toilet.
@@carlos76437 fair point. I use mine in the snow so caravans are a non starter. Californias are not big enough. As the other person says, a v niche market. I only stay at campsites with nice showers / toilets and I don't mind the 2 minute walk at night on that rare occasion. Thanks for replying

I saw nothing wrong with the footage. What camera do you film your videos on?
In what way? Focus? Stabilisation? Audio? Can you point me to other show vlogs that are done better by solo creators please? I'm very curious because I am looking at revamping my camera set-up and am interested in honest constructive feedback. Thanks!
