I have translated 2 French novels into malayalam and was remunerated for the job. But more than that economic reward my curiosity is to know how well my work was received by the readers. Why wouldnt my publisher talk to me on this. Did the readers like it! Howmany copies sold..! As a writer this is What counts..!

As a matter of fact literary creation is the embodiment of heart beats of the writer n regarding translation is concerned it is impossible to translate in true n intent.

Translation should be focused more on a parallel culture true to the original than a mere linguistic substitute...a translator should also be an accomplished writer.. otherwise he or she would fail in his job..!!!
