Asalaamualaykum, great lecture by Abu Usamah. However, i don't know if there is a different version of the hadith of the 4 attributes ascribed by the Prophet S.A.W about the hypocrite. Please take a look at 11:20. To my knowledge and Allah knows best, this hadith is narrated by Abdillahi ibn 3umar ibn Al Khattab but the shaykh said it was narrated by Abu Huraira. Correct me if I am wrong, if not, does that mean there is 2 different narrators to this hadith? JazaakumAllah Khayran.
Wa 'alaikum Salaam wa Rahmatu Allaahi wa Barakaatuh akhi..... Just fyi, some hadiths were heard by many sahaba and were, therefore, transmitted by more than one sahabi. However, I'm not sure if this is the case with this particular hadith... wa Allaahu 'alam (and Allaah knows best).

There is a hadeeth in which the Prophet (salAllah 'alayhi wa sallam) refers to four specific characteristics of the hypocrite. I believe that this is the hadeeth that you are referring to. However, there is a different hadeeth (albeit somewhat similar) wherein the Prophet (salAllah 'alayhi wa sallam) refers to three characteristics of the hypocrite. This is the hadeeth that the presenter (may Allah keep him safe and firm upon the religion) was referring to. It is narrated by Abu Hurairah (radiyAllah anh) and is recorded in many collections of hadeeth, including (and not limited to) Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
The hadeeth is as follows:
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ أَبُو سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلاَثٌ، إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ ".
Narrated Abu Huraira (radiAllah anh):
The Prophet (salAllah 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks he tells a lie; whenever he is entrusted he proves dishonest; whenever he promises he breaks his promise."

PS: Keep in mind that there are many other ahadeeth that list other characteristics of the hypocrites that are not mentioned in the two ahadeeth above (e.g. The Messenger of Allah, salAllah 'alayhi wa sallam, said: "The sign of a hypocrite is hatred against the Ansar and the sign of a Believer is the love of the Ansar - collected in Sahih Muslim)
