Try a premium lager, or a good stout, or a malty ale. You know, something that's made to have an actual taste. The US has had a craft beer revolution. I've only been there once, (a few days in LA for work), but I had some really good local craft beers while I was there. There's no excuse anymore for not being able to find a decent beer, at least in and around decent sized cites. As with wine as well to be fair, only drink the generic cheap sh*t and expect the experience to be generic, cheap, and sh*t. Find the good stuff, and high quality beer is easily as good as a fine wine.

OK, in Vox defence. It´s only in the USA and parts of U.K. (and cologne) where Beer tasts like Piss. I could also say that all Wine tast like old feet if I ever have drunken Merlot out of a Tetra Pack... There is so much variation in Beer. I for example drinking rn a "Münchner Spaten" a light Beer from Munich. It has a very light taste with a slight "Spicy" (aromatic?... tf means würzig in english...) taste. But I normaly don´t drink light Beer as the taste is to light for me. I prefere Darker Beers. My favourite is a Saxon Dark Beer called "Schwarzer Steiger" it has a very strong tast that has sweet notes behind the normal bitter dark beer what makes it very enjoiable! As for the oldest Monestary Brewery of Weltenburg: Their Dark beer is very good too. an example for a very goo Light Beer is the "Kloster-gold Hell" From the Monestary of Scheyern. It still has the classic light Beer tast but is incredible aromatic in the after tast what makes it actually very enjoible as a afternoon beer.
