We must apologize for the heavy wind in the video. Unfortunately we did not have our wind muff with us when we were recording. Hope you still get the relevant information.
we "wrap" our children in Nigeria and the Benin Republic except we call it Backing a child at least that's how I grew up cuz I have dual citizenship in both countries. By the way, I really love you guys and I hope that one day I will get to meet you all. I also hope that by the grace of the LORD JESUS, you all will sing at my wedding. I am currently 19 but it is never too early to start planning🤣😅😂😂😂😂😂 I love all your personalities (although I struggle with the names). You guys have really helped me through hard times of depression and anxiety and hardships. I speak to the LORD and tell him that you all are my family. I thank the LORD for anointing your guy's voice. I am currently in Halifax. Hopefully, you guys will come here for a tour.
Enjoyed the young ladies' demonstration on carrying babies in Africa. Having been a product of this method, I have always obeyed and respected my late mother. The bond formed is strong and protective.
My favorite triplets again with another wonderful video. Love these girls and their music and their ministry to share God's love through music and message ❤️❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛💛💛❤️❤️❤️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️
Yes my cousin used to carry her daughter like that when she was a baby. Her daughter's father is Ghanaian. Each outfit has a very wide as well as long scarf and I believe carrying babies is one of the many functions of it. Is that correct? Although we don't carry babies in this way in the Caribbean, I remember being carried on many persons back as a little girl and when I was big enough I carried other children on my back. There was no scarf involved, you had to hold on to the shoulders or neck of the person carrying you and lock your legs around their waist. The person would also hold the child's legs or place their arms under the child's bum as support. Does anyone else remember that? I'm from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Great video, thank you for sharing. Happy Sabbath everyone. God bless.
I was expecting a farewell speech. How relieved I am to know the “wrap” referred to carrying babies. The video and information is so lovely! Watched to the last ‘drop.’
What a beautiful homecoming you had. Sometimes we get so used to our culture that we think it is the norm everywhere. Only when it is highlighted like this do we get to see its interest value. Also liked how you picked Shona words.
Watching from 🇰🇪, here we carry babies differently...one end goes over the right shoulder and the other end under the left armpit then you tie a knot on the chest.
YAHWEH'S BLESSINGS ALWAYS AMEN. l am Grandma and children teach you a lot. if a baby don't stay on you something is going on Spiritually or physically wrong Amen
Am glad you guys had a great exeperience of a part of my culture, l am from Zimbabwe married to my loving Jamaican husband. When you get married and have your babies you can come to Kingston for some more lessons in case you would have forgotten😍
The first time I saw a cat or dog picked up its young in the mouth and walked with it I was scared that it was hurting it. Of course I was very young!! I'm sure some persons watching will be very grateful for these informations! Very interesting!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the way you struggled hahahahaha in Uganda it's sooooo normal because even a five year old can carry their baby brother or sister on their back
I can see that your family had a lovely time in Zimbabwe as well as cultural exposure. In Nigeria (West Africa), we carry our babies on your backs just the way the women did. While in Kenya (East Africa) they carry babies the second way the lady demonstrated ie with the sling over the shoulders. To your question about how multiple birth children are carried, in my part of the world, you can only carry one child at the back. The other child is carried with the hands in front of the mother or someone else can carry the child if they are going somewhere. I imagine if they are triplets like you guys, a baby stroler would just come in handy because it would be a lot to carry.
We must apologize for the heavy wind in the video. Unfortunately we did not have our wind muff with us when we were recording. Hope you still get the relevant information.
