You're on a whole different level. I got 50 acres in WV. Got 2 small cabins and a shower/shithouse in the makings. Hard and slow work by myself. But I'll get er done someday. Totally off-grid.
Wow a long start to finish video...cool. I have to ask about the deck build. I've never seen a deck build quite like this one. You built it with purlins and attached the deck boards to them like one would build a metal roof. Would you elaborate on this please , I got to know the reasoning behind this ! By the way nice freaking work dude .
I just make shit up lol. It makes a less bouncy deck. Mainly though its less joints when we change the direction of the decking. On the other two cabins and my house the decks are less than 12' (that's the length of those deck boards) so I don't have any joints. When you do have a joint it lands on 3.5" instead of 1.5" so you can keep your nails back a bit and the ends don't crack as easy.
