Hi everyone! This is part 1 of a two-part "draw with me video" where we're going to work on a traditional commission! In this one, we're turning the first sketch into the final pencil drawing to submit to my client for approval, while in the next part, we'll be inking the piece! Hope you like it.
My client requested to reference two of her jewellery pieces designed by the artist Abycraft.

It's nice to see you use tools like a Compass and the square when drawing. I use to get so jealous of the artists that can free hand while I was using a ruler to keep my lines straight. It's very inspiring to see a successful artist use the tools that I do.

Oh yes, I really love these videos !! Thank you for these !
You know, one thing I have still trouble with is the time I should put into thumbnails, sketches, inking... After watching so much speedpaints my point of view is a bit distorted and I have to remind myself that it will take the time it needs, and that I shouldnt rush. I know now speed come with experiences and being efficient (like you do).

Absolutely! Things take time and you only learn to be faster by allowing yourself to take your time from time to time. It’s weird to say but the more you go slowly the faster you became in time 💪🏻
