Informative vid Lance, don't worry about Kelly dog barking well ever shes barking she's healthy. Looking forward to this engine build see what we can learn.
Thanks Lance. Good little video. A good insight in to the piston wear of this engine. Now looking forward to more content in this series to see what you find. I am sure there will be a spike in compression test kits on eBay over the next few weeks as we all follow along. 👍
She's a bugger mine Sasha is exactly the same if I'm asleep she wakes me up . I think that you rebuild the engine on it Lance she's a neat little tractor though regards John
When you say a little oil into the cylinder head... roughly how much are we talking about? What do you have a link to the cylinder head pressure kit from eBay ?
Hi, lance, would it be possible you could do a video sometime on pulling injectors on a fergy diesel, hope to be starting on my own this year, can't find anything on the internet On the safest way to do it, and is there a tool to suit, thanks, enjoying the weather it's like summer here, 😎
Not if it wont start and you are trying to get direction or you feel it would damage it buy warming it up. In a later video you will see the pistons sliding under their own weight.
Brilliant. Being shown is much better than reading how to do it. Can’t wait to get started. Many thanks. Mick🇬🇧
Thanks Mick, Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks, Glad you enjoyed it people might panic buy the compression tester like they did with the toilet paper.
The university of Lance! Love it, Thanks Lance
Looniversity some days, lol.
Thanks Lance, very informative and explained nice and basic.
Thanks James.
I am working on my FE 35 I wish I was half as smart as you with tractors. Good work mate:)
Thanks 👍
Jeepers! Bet this new camera crew and production team costs a pretty penny, nice job!
Crew is on dog sausage and meaty bites, lol.
I just did a compression test on a 4020 John Deere today. The highest number was 60 the lowest was 45. Checking the valves tomorrow.
Wow not a lot of good news there, do the easy stuff first for sure.
Like you said test may not be necessary ,Its still nice to diagnose properly , thanks from Tenn,
G Day Bill, Yes its not a big job to check it out. Thanks for watching!
Kelly sounds hilarious, nearly cacked laughing when you told her she’d have to stay home and she gave you a groan
lol, Shes a bit of a unit, bloody good company though, never misses a trick.
Bundy Bears Shed what breed is she Lance? I’ve a brown Labrador, she’s bloody cheeky too. If only they could talk back to you
@@Zomsky Might me an australian Kelpie. I had one once, awesome dog. Pointy ears are not very labradorish. :)
just bought a to20 in the U.S. is it basically the same it appears to be based on looks. thanks I've been learning a lot regardless
you possibly have a continental engine but basically the same.
@@BundyBearsShed thanks

Yeah they get excited for some action.
Hello Lance, Thanks for the tutorial--------- Kelly dog just wants to be in on the act. Regards , Charles @ Nerimbera
Yes she gets all excited about a run around the paddock, I had to cut half of the video out I couldnt shut her up, lol.
Oh,think its the left side of the tractor there. Can see the starter to the right?
Yes Im on the left when sitting on the seat.
When you say a little oil into the cylinder head... roughly how much are we talking about? What do you have a link to the cylinder head pressure kit from eBay ?
Ill have a look and see, It was a fair while back now. A couple of squirts with an oil can is usually plenty to see a difference.
@@BundyBearsShed Thanks... hate to think I've put too much in and Bend something :(

Yes I can, I did it on the 135 but are you looking at doing the FE35?
Sorry I meant to say Ferguson 20 tef diesel
Did you do a test on the dog?
Im not sure she would agree to that.
I love my ted20
Boy they are a popular little model .
Thank you sir
Thankyou
Was that a bare engine or a bear engine?
Bear now.
You forgot to say "throttle wide open" or do you do that way...!
Yes I do
Of course the engine should be bought up to normal temperature and the throttle opened whilst checking compression...
Not if it wont start and you are trying to get direction or you feel it would damage it buy warming it up. In a later video you will see the pistons sliding under their own weight.
You did indicate it was running and blowing smoke, and the throttle should be opened irrespective.
100psi, not a real hot rod for sure. lol
The pistons slid down the bore under their own weight, lol.
