Honestly, being Sri Lankan myself, I truly started to appreciate Sri Lankan beauty only after I moved overseas. I guess the more ‘familiarised’ you are with something the less you appreciate it.

@@itiswhatitis7200 Yes absolutely. I just thought when he said 'youre gorgeous I didnt think you were sri lankan' tells me that he, maybe unconsiously, associates 'being gorgeous' with 'not being sri lankan' and it made me sad because sri lankan girls are gorgeous!

@@sandaliudagama3943 I guess so, but one of the main problems with this world is that everyone buys into the idea that we need to have straight hair and a thin body in order to be called Gorgeous. Young kids are listening hard and grow up feeling like they need to look a certain way, change how they look, and if they can't, they feel pretty crap about themselves. I hope I'm wrong though :) for the sake of precious young girls and boys.
