Jonny Fairplay didn't just trick his fellow castaways and the fans watching at home. He tricked the entire production staff of a reality show. Very few people can say they managed to pull that feat off.
Well Fairplay acted like such a jerk that its kinda hard to feel sorry for him. Jeff Probst was officially pissed off at Fairplay after this episode. You can tell whenever he showed up he just hated him. Probably didn’t like that he was fooled. But he never revealed that she was alive or that Fairplay lied.
Actually, Jeff did buy it. He called Jon's home on behalf of the Survivor crew to offer their condolences, only to have the grandmother herself pick up the phone! So yeah, it was only Sandra that didn't buy it.
I’m willing to bet money Sandra has lowest IQ out of any players this season. She is just a bitch that’s why she didn’t care. I love this show so much and can’t stand when people give props to a player (Sandra) who has no business being on this show, yet winning it.

According to an interview if I am remember correctly, Sandra said she knew Fairplay was lying about the whole dead grandma story to get sympathy. She thought of telling people but it would put a potential target on her back because people may not believe her or think she's lying. So she kept quiet. And she messed with him whenever he could....like sending his buddy back and making swear on his grandmother that he won't vote her out. When in her mind she was swearing to get him and Burton out of the game as examples.
This move may have been despicable but it was damn clever and you simply cannot deny that. This lie is the definition of the Outwit part of the slogan with the way that it took advantage of the sympathy and emotions that the rest of the castaways (save Sandra) would have felt for Jonny so that they'd give him the win. Jonny may not have played fair but he played clever. I can't say I like what he did but I gotta give him props.

Lmao Johnny "Fairplay" is in my top ten favorite survivors, bc of that episode. I was little when I watched it, but I watched it with my mom and when he went back to camp with his friend and said his grandma was sitting at home me and my mom looked at each other and started dying of laughter. He defiantly "outwitted" most, if not all of those people. Hell he even got Jeff to believe it. smartest move in the game.
